I agree with Joe. Not just because of those reasons either. Kids aren't allowed in pubs after about 8pm so why are they allowed at soul venues? I thought I was a grown up now? If I wanted a night out with kids I'd go to Wacky Warehouse or stop at home. Every now and then I fancy escaping the small fry and spending time with some adults:yes: Last time I went to Prestatyn I ended up looking after somebody elses children who were left on their own without a drink or anything. And they were still there at 3am! They can't have been more than 10.

Wow, please let us know asap as well up for this (especially as in the middle of a french degree)..!

I think it's pretty awful that promoters would willingly clash with an established venue. That there is no other date available is not a good enough reason. I've not been to Rugby for ages but they seem to have a pretty good thing going on there with a lot of satisfied punters. Already somebody has said that they would go to the other venue even though they would normally go to Rugby. I think it's a poor show I really do.

Weird, I don't really know a lot of Liverpudlians either. I went to the sink a couple of times early 2000s , that's the only Liverpool soul event I remember discounting Southport. I remember a lad who was a taxi driver...Yocky possibly? And a few mods...Paddy, Andy Parry and a couple others. But nowt like Manchester/Stoke?Leeds...Maybe it's their constant obsession with the fab four ha ha

I always ask djs to play latin at venues/niters. In fact I am one big mitherer for it:lol: Usually I get The Majestics or Bobby Valentin Very occasionally Ray Baretto-Mercy Mercy Baby. At Cleethorpes I think I asked about 4 or 5 djs for a latin track and none of them had any. I've NEVER heard Joe bataan at a Northern Soul venue. I have got Bidds on my "must get to one day list". It just never seems to fall on a day that I can make it!

Very confusing..I think they both sing on various songs for example Ghetto child .Phil (no glasses) starts and Bobby finishes. Bob is the chap with the specs I think...! And he is one of the only members still alive too..sure somebody more knowledgeable than me will confirm sooner or later!!
