  1. That's one of my pet hates with youtube, so much inaccurate information. I've long given up using it as a point of reference. I was watching a video of a song last week and who ever made it had used an album cover of the artist that didn't contain the track in question. Maybe I'm being too fussy. Dave
  2. IMHO the lp is the longer and superior mix. Dave
  3. You after the 45 or the album cut? Dave
  4. What an incredible record this one is. Dave
  5. So do I Dave
  6. It's probably true to say that most of the serious record dealers have moved to discogs or have their own websites, or other means of selling. Furthermore, there are just too many records that don't warrant being auction items. As a seller listing on eBay is a pain in the arse and then they gouge you every time something sells. Don't get me wrong, eBay is great for buying stuff but as stated earlier it is a jumble sale. Dave
  7. That's about it Chalky. My Confusion came about as someone was claiming that the Music City release was a better mix. Cheers, Dave
  8. Thanks for all the replies lads. I listened to both samples and couldn't hear the difference. Just bought a copy on Balja. Thanks again for your help. Dave
  9. Are the mixes of both versions of Butterfly the same? Has anyone got both copies to compare? Thanks, Dave
  10. Just found a spare copy of this in new condition. Price is £5 including UK 2nd class post. Superb album with in-depth sleeve notes, recording session dates and a killer track-list which includes the incredible "Long way to be happy" Thanks for looking. Dave
  11. I first heard this on one of the Northern Soul Story Lp's in the late 80's and picked up an original copy shortly afterwards for £8.I assuming that it was well known for it to appear on the NSS LP in the first place. Dave
  12. I love that Reggae version, nice one. Dave

  14. Eddy Edmunds put me onto it about 10 years ago via his website. Fantastic track alright and glad that it's still only a tenner. Also got sampled by The Eels on Mr E's Beautiful Blues Dave
  15. It's highly in demand for the flip side "I took an overdose" at the moment. Dave
  16. Fascinating programme, top marks to BBC4. Anyone who's taped it is in for a treat. Dave
  17. You're all out of touch.........this is what you really need
  18. Great post. I'd forgotten how good a record the Manhattans was! Got my copy back in the 80's as part of a soul pack. Dave

  20. There is a small (inaudible) scuff to the vinyl near the outer edge at 9.00 O'Clock on the "Heartache" side, but overall the record is in stunning condition and plays beautifully. Both sound-files and scans are taken from the record on offer. I'm asking £30 + £2.00 recorded delivery. Paypal as friends & family. Fully refund if not 100% satisfied with your purchase. Thanks for looking and listening! Dave Roy Hamilton - Heartaches (hurry on by) (RCA).mp3 Roy Hamilton - Ain't it the truth (RCA).mp3
  21. Is the UK release the one that doesn't have the distortion? Thanks, Dave
  22. Crazy prices indeed. It reminds me why I don't buy a lot of original vinyl anymore. Dave
  23. Good point Mick. Best, Dave
