I've got the same one guys. I bought it from a Dublin record shop in the late 80's. As we know, there is nothing to say that it was pressed in Ireland and I'm pretty certain that the release number is the same as the UK one. Take care, Dave

Hi John, I've got the extended version on the "Chess 50th Anniversary Collection" double CD collection and it clocks in at 4 minutes 57 seconds. I agree that it is a far better mix than the 7" release, but then again, when is that not the case? I also prefer the (more complete) Lp mix of Ramsey Lewis's "Wade in the water". I also have to say that I rate Billy Stewart very highly as a vocalist and "Summertime" is one of my favourites by him. You should also check out the flip "To love To love" and his wonderful version of "Old Man River". Best, Dave

I agree Billy, an absolutely incredible LP. The first time I heard that Judy Clay track (back in the 80's) I was overcome by the emotion that she put into it; and I still feel the same way to this day. Hearing that Lp for the first time was a defining moment in my musical education. Dave

Althought I am a sucker for stereo or proper versions of records I have always preferred this speeded up version of 'Suspicion' with the muddy vocals. I suppose it's the version that I (and many others) grew up with. A few years ago, when I sold off all of my boots & re-issues, this was one that I held on to. Dave

I'm pretty sure that this is more in demand for the flip 'Long Hot Summer'. I don't know anything about the singer but she sounds white to my ears. Stunning label design. Dave.

I'm with Phil on this, pretty sure it wasn't booted on Carla. The differences in label print and colour are due to different pressing plants being used.Also, I'm not 100% sure, but don't all of his Carla releases have the 'AT' (Atlantic distribution) marking in the deadwax? Best, Dave
