  12. A fair amount of requests are generally played if I have the record in question, however if I have heard the record played during the evening I will ask the punter to pick another. If he/she cant think i generally play something I was going to play anyway, but dedicate it to joe bloggs on his coming out party ! In a large weekender venue, I do find if you play a request early in your spot it does "open the floodgates" for people making the walk up to the decks for requests especially if they have been drinking alot-so i tend to leave them until the last 15 mins or so. On the whole I'm very happy to play a request, especially if it fits in with what I want to/ have to play Rob
  13. As Chalky once described this as "Rob Wigley's favourite oldie"-I couldn't imagine just playing a straight Instrumental out instead of the vocal as I just LOVE this record and thinking about it I think Chalky had my cream copy off me years ago so I can't play it to check !! Rob

  17. Max Milward a shining light from the black country, had many a conversation on the telephone and later by e-mail. As a young lad you could only dream what a DJ like "The Blue Max" was like, a club called the Catacombes, a list of rare sounds as long as you arm, in reality he was a wonderful friendly man, "come outside and talk Rob I need a ciggie". In all honesty, Max has been taken from us in a way he would have wanted, at a club listening to rare soul music among his many friends Very sad news indeed, but one record that reminds me of Max is Tony Michaels "I love the life I live and I live the life I love" RIP Rob & Karen
