I'm Surprised Nobody's Mentioned The 4 Vandals
Fairs fair though Baz...if, like me, you've watched the entire 4 dvd set of SWONS you'll have seen a fair bit of the 4 Vandals and as a live act I'm pretty sure they'd be good. The blokes a decent singer and with any luck they won't have the ubiquitous Ian Levine drum sample that's on every one of his last 500 tracks.

Queen Of The Minstrels - the eternals - coxsone 13073 refosoul I bought this off Mick Smith at Wton record fair - it had the artists and title names removed so he said do you want this for a fiver, I said ok, I'll take a chance, turns out to be one of the best and most sought after 45's on the entire label...

Try and find a track called My baby Changes Like The Weather by Bobby Callendar - it's probably on soulclub.org - and comopare it with the vocalist on that B side, it's identical

Made A Cock Up, What Shall I Do?
Ha ha, yeah I know, but the weird thing is, it'd got some kind of protective film over the label, which changed the colour from bright white to more like a grey colour and I honestly didn't look properly. Having said that, the onus isn't really on me is it, I'm not the one saying it's an original..

Frankie And The Classicals
Definitely a female on What Shall I Do!

Holy Grails of genres?
Charlie Parker and his junior school chums incent free form jazz without the aid of brass instruments. Shortly after this photo was taken they had to be excused to go toilet.

Holy Grails of genres?
I know. But next someone will say "you don't like it because you don't understand it". Well I bet the same people can't stand punk rock. Is that because they don't understand it or because it sounds like shit to them? Jazz to me sounds like a pre-school playgroup who've been told to pick up an instrument and try to play it. No wonder Chet Baker jumped out of that f*cking window, he was trying to escape from the sound of his own haunted trumpet...

Frankie And The Classicals
I've got a Jerry Blavat video somewhere, he had his own tv show in the 80's(?) which seemed to consist of him playing old records and people dancing to them...
-
Holy Grails of genres?
Oh God no, anything but jazz...the absolute worst music in the history of...er..music! I detest every single sub-genre of it. Pile of w8nk the lot of it

Frankie And The Classicals
I would stake tonights tea on that vocalist being Bobby Callendar, a brilliant Smokey Robinson soundalike. It's definitely a man, you're right Ringleader.

Made A Cock Up, What Shall I Do?
John, I actually have two of these in my pressings box...I've got 3 copies now but anyone armed with this information I at least have witnesses who agree it's a bootleg, cheers

Made A Cock Up, What Shall I Do?

Made A Cock Up, What Shall I Do?
No response from the seller Rich but to be fair I only contacted them at about 10am this morning

Made A Cock Up, What Shall I Do?
Have a look mate. How embarassing. Not only the mistake, but the actual record just thought it was cheap for an original! https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1
