  1. Can't argue with any of that. With this topic I was just highlighting that there can't have been many spots with so many duffers in as this one. And I don't say that in retrospect, did you ever meet anyone who liked Joe 90 being played?
  2. Pete S replied to Mike's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Surely then it should be Look IN Your Box? Look At Your Record Box?
  3. No, 'you' as in 'everybody' or 'someone', not you as in you yourself. "I go elsewhere for that" - was a joke.
  4. It's just that saying that something like EJ Chandler never turns up in mint condition is a bit of a distortion of the facts when Ken Cox had about a thousand mint copies and listed it every single week for 2 years - I've never seen a bad copy, or Sandy Waddy on the same label.
  5. Was her name Diana?
  6. I said it was messy, you said what do you expect, it was recorded in some back street studio, and I said so was The Masqueraders. That was the conversation. If you don't like my posts don't read them. I don't come on here to be insulted, I go elsewhere for that..
  7. 79 was where the comeback started I think. Quality of records in unbelievable compared to 78.
  8. Richard was playing some not so great stuff at this time as well, Wakefield Sun, Harley Hatcher, John Gary, Paul Anka for a start
  9. Since Marc Copage made Who Can I Turn To.
  10. Speak to you when you get your dummy back.
  11. Yep, Joeboy released it.
  12. F*ck this I'm off for an early night, you can't have a simple conversation with some...
  13. Blimey, did you go in a Tardis or have they started it up again?
  14. Stop shouting, you're showing yourself up. Did you or did you not say well what would you expect in a back street garage of a studio
  15. Where was it?
  16. You did, here, it was only 10 minutes ago It has been quoted as being poorly produced, well what would you expect in a back street garage of a studio?
  17. If you've ever been to Tipton you'd change your mind. Then again, Leicester....
  18. You can't say it's messy because of where it was produced, the magnificent "How" by The Masqueraders originates from the same place and is sublime, but Tipton and Al Williams only got their status because of their rarity, not because they're particularly good. IN MY OPINION Mr. Labeat, IN MY OPINION. I'm sure you dislike half of my favourites, I won't get upset.
  19. No it's a straight run through of Russ' first hour set. Bobby Paris was on there as well (I Walked Away), about the best track (apart from Stemmens)
  20. Are you mixing up Hey Sah Lo Ney with Nobody But Me (thats the one that goes no no no no no no)?
  21. I really like that. And I really like Stemmons Express.
  22. It's not bad but hearing people clapping at the end of Love Hustle does make you think..actually Mark, big disappointment today, old mate of mine said he had ten or so Wigan tapes and they arrived today, unfortunately, at least 5 of them were recorded by - ME!

Is that who it is, La Brenda Ben, I always had it as Norma Jenkins!

It's a little like braille, but don't worry, there is no boot of that record on the cream label with red lettering.
