Bit like when I asked my Missus when I asked her if I could be her "Back Door Santa". Didn't want any presents that year...
  2. I think it's a case of someone wanting it at the right time - last time I had one, a demo copy, I just couldn't sell it and I was asking £125 which I thought was reasonable. Then I saw one go not long after for £150. I remember paying £5 for it as an unknown early 90's.

  6. UK only I think - great version.
  7. He ought to be done under the trades description act, that record was never played at Wigan! Plus it's a one sided disc, and the photo is terrible.
  8. Yeah it is a male, definitely. But a male with a similar voice to SFTKO's singer.
  9. Have you got one extremely long arm by any chance?
  10. No it's a woman, same as on the TKO's, very very deep voice but listen to the lyrics
  11. If that's her real name, maybe she is PRINCE ELLA as in Prince Ella & Sidney Jones (Baby, Sugar I Love You)???
  12. Could well be - what a fantastic voice.
  13. No problem at all, nice that others can get to hear them, also they help to wipe away some of the lies that people tell about Wigan only playing pop music!
  14. Dave I found the tape track listing, not the same tape as yours as no Bobby Patterson, starts of with Celebrities on Boss, anyway it's on there covered up as Marie Knight.
  15. Track 1 is Russ, then RS up to Ronnie McNeir when it's Keith Minshull, then Billy Woods onwards is all Pep
  16. He doesn't know if you'll have to pay customs or not though, you just have to pay if you get unlucky and customs get hold of it. Ebay actually tell the US sellers to put a message saying 'item may be subject to customs charges' and says basically what he says, I think they actually get frightened into putting the full value on, I just ask them before it ends if he intends to put the full value on and if he says yes, I don't bid.
  17. This late 1976 period was fantastic and I’m really sad that this is my only remaining tape from that period, I did have others but they were lent out and never returned. Two things that I enjoyed about this, listen to The Champion and you can really hear the sound of feet on that dancefloor, what an atmosphere (this is a little cheat as I actually recorded that 2 weeks earlier at the 3rd Anniversary but left it on the tape) and even better, Danse A La Musique — it sounds like people clapping but that is the sound of feet ‘stomping’, not clapping. I remember recording that sat on the balcony overlooking the dancefloor and watching the packed dancefloor in sheer awe. I can also hear the late Phil Shelton saying “fancy recording Wigan” into the mic, first time I’ve ever noticed that…a bit spooky. https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/wigan-casino-9-10-76/ WILLIE MITCHELL — THE CHAMPION MATT LUCAS — YOU BETTER GO GO RICHARD POPCORN WYLIE — ROSEMARY WHAT HAPPENED BOBBY HUTTON — LEND A HAND JOHNNY WILLIAMS — JUST A LITTLE MISUNDERSTANDING JAY & THE AMERICANS — GOT HUNG UP ALONG THE WAY RONNIE McNEIR — SITTING IN MY CLASS MYSTIC MOODS — ASTRAL TRIP FRENCH FRIES — DANSE A LA MUSIQUE BILLY WOODS — LET ME MAKE YOU HAPPY YUM YUMS — GONNA BE A BIG THING MVP’s — TURNING MY HEARTBEAT UP NORMA JENKINS — CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT ADAMS APPLES — DON’T TAKE IT OUT ON THIS WORLD ROSCOE & FRIENDS — BROADWAY CISSY MYSTIC MOODS — ASTRAL TRIP RAIN — OUT OF MY MIND RON HOLDEN — I’LL FORGIVE AND FORGET
  18. Don't remember, sorry, but I think the track listing of the tape is on the back cover of Beatin Rhythm 14 or 15, I think I have one in the garage so I'll have a look later. The tape also had names like 'Cornelius Dwyer' and 'Dewey Black' on there.
  19. Sold a beautiful blue issue of this a while back - never seen another one - really did look stunning
  20. Could be down to size as well? I struggle with this as well.
  21. I wouldn't give you £4.50 for it it any condition!
  22. Both big scans are of the bootleg Benji, they both have stuck on labels as far as I can see. There was actually a counterfeit before that one with a moulded label as well.
  23. I sent someone £20 this morning, it said transaction failed, so did it again 10 minutes later, said transaction failed, then got two receipts saying my payments had been successful - paid same person twice apparently..
