  1. Do me a favour Bob, it's not difficult to take a photo of a record and put it up, the one he sent me looks nothing like the original, I gave him a few hours to respond, he hasn't, I've opened a case, notified all 1800 people on my mailing list and another thousand or so on Facebook, it was a blatant attempt to mug someone and he picked the wrong person.
  2. Some scans, if you right click and try to copy, they don't let you - like the ones on Dave Flynn's website and Rob Pheasant's website
  3. Kinnell can anyone answer the original question?
  4. (Thanks Chalky) and yes thanks Missing Link, there it is, in applications-utilities! p.s. I used to run a fanzine called Missing Link. Non interesting fact of the day.
  5. Thanks Russell, just what I needed in case Ebay ask for it, I did forward them the popsike link also.
  6. I'm only pulling your leg
  7. So did he have a record in the UK top 10, I can't tell from those two scans of a US release
  8. Well spotted Gene. Have opened a case. I asked for insurance on this item after it closed, he didn't even reply. He also didn't put a single indication of his name and address on the package.
  9. This name always fascinated me, The Soul Cop, anyway I found this article on him but in it, it says one of his records made Number 8 on the UK charts, I know I am often forgetful but does anyone remember this, or did they just make it up? https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1798&dat=19760910&id=loI0AAAAIBAJ&sjid=c44EAAAAIBAJ&pg=6809,1924340
  10. Steve I charge 2.50 for small packet airmail, should charge £3 really I suppose. £8 for registered post. This goes up rapidly depending on the weight.
  11. It's just an out and out deception and I'd suggest any Spanish members who know this guy tell him to refund my money sharpish because if not his name is going to be all around the world in no time, I"ve done it before and I'm perfectly happy to do it again.
  12. Can you have a look at this please and make a note of what the record in the photo looks like, just in case the seller tries to make it disappear https://www.ebay.co.u...1#ht_500wt_1413 because this is what I was sent, as you can see it is NOT the record in the picture and is a bootleg pressed on vinyl, if I'd seen that picture I'd never have bid on it and to stop anyone else getting the same treatment, here are the seller details User ID: fimer-12 Name: Lluis Cardenal Company: City: Banyoles County: Cataluña
  13. Emidisc b/w Larry Santos Paul, remember?
  14. Yeah there's Rozetta Johnson, thats a green one, quite rare

I'm semi-around Steve, not been all that well lately. I know the record which means I've got it (probably in itunes) but would have to listen to a thousand or so tracks before identifying it, and that would probably cause me to have some kind of seizure
  16. Also a vivid green for a couple of releases. Not sure about them being dodgy quality as someone said above - most of them were spot on.
  17. I've had it on US issue but never on UK issue. Forgetting who the vocalist is, the production on this is unbelievable, arranged by Arnold Goland who was also responsible for Ray Pollard's 'The Drfiter', massive wall of sound.
  18. Worth £40 but you'll probably only get £30. Bit more on CBS UK. Glen Henning discovered this in 1991/2, he found it on CBS demo, I actually gave him The Craig - I Must Be Mad on Fontana for it, The Craig record is now worth £300...
  19. Original DJ is a tough record, £50 - £60.

It's not a debate thread though, it was just asking what people's favourite I.L. productions were. Not difficult to write down a few titles is it?
  21. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
No but it would be a nice change to have a wholly positive thread without people turning it sour wouldn't it.
  22. Watched it last night and really enjoyed it, soundtrack totally irrelevant as the story is very gripping.
  23. Very true - I did a podcast using the ipad 2 recently, was ill in bed and basically you just load up the tracks and it does it for you

If Ian Levine is not worthy of discussion on this site then God help us all. Discovered more records than you've had hot dinners for a start.

Lorraine, nobody got paid from the profits of that film because there were none; it cost £80,000 in total to produce and so far they have only taken £14,000 back, and thats after one video and two dvd releases. I might have got this next bit wrong but I think they were going to try to pay artist royalties if they got back 50% of the costs? Please don't shoot the messenger!
