Unexpected Writing On Labels - Any Stories
I'm afraid mine involves myself but a couple of years ago we were discussing Melvin Davis - Find A Quiet Place - Wheel City and I said that I used to have a copy at the time it was being played, and it appeared that not that many people believed me for some reason, besides, I obviously couldn't prove it and I began to doubt it myself. Next thing I know, Ted Massey puts up a scan of the B side of his copy and written on the label it says "Pete Smith (month) 1978" in my handwriting. I was and am still astonished to see this over 30 years after having written it, that copy could have gone anywhere in the world and it's actually 15 miles away!

Two Incredible Unissued Northern Soul Instrumentals
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TWO-INCREDIBLE-UNISSUED-NORTHERN-SOUL-INSTRUMENTALS-/120651579175?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item1c1764ff27 A POTENTIAL MONSTER SOUND FOR ANY ENTERPRISING DJ HERE. THIS IS A DOUBLE SIDED DUB PLATE OF FIRSTLY, AN UNRELEASED INSTRUMENTAL BACKING TRACK TO DONNIE ELBERT'S POLYDOR VERSION OF THIS OLD HEART OF MINE. IT'S AN ABSOLUTELY STORMING TRACK AND IF THIS HAD BEEN KNOWN BACK IN 75 IT WOULD HAVE TORN THE CASINO APART. THE SECOND TRACK IS THE UNISSUED BACKING TRACK TO THE BRILLIANT "SHE'S WANTED IN THREE STATES" BY LARRY CLINTON. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED. THE ORIGINAL ACETATE OF THE DONNIE ELBERT TRACK WAS SOLD FOR £500 AND I GOT PERMISSION FROM THE NEW OWNER TO CUT THREE DUB PLATES, WHICH I DID, I KEPT ONE, I'VE GOT TWO FOR SALE, THERE WILL BE NO MORE AFTER THESE TWO GO. HAVE A LISTEN...YOU'LL HEAR MICK SMITH PLAY THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME AT THE NEXT 100 CLUB

Run For Your Life
Harrison Brothers best and also first played; Douglas Gibson uses the same backing track as Harrison Brothers. Luther Ingram rarest, also a great version but not quite as powerful as the other two.

Soulboy - The Movie. You've Seen It So . .
So I finally watched the film. After all that's been said about it, I was left with a feeling of....well nothing really. It wasn't an hour and a half wasted but it's not one that I'll remember for long, I don't think anyone could call the film anything but "okay" to be honest, I enjoyed the dance footage (though I swear I saw two guys leap about 15 feet into the air in one shot) but I thought the scenes shot inside the allnighter suffered from there not being enough people in. The sub plot with his mate Paddy was half arsed as well. So I think I'll agree with Steve above, 4 or maybe 5, have to say I'm disappointed, though I really liked the brunette lead actress, she was 'right bonny'.

E Bay , Yum Yums
Boot is as good a quality as the original - have had both.

E Bay , Yum Yums
One way to tell, if you've got the record in your hand, is to look at the B side, the title fades slighty on the last couple of words. Also there are a few 'pits' in the run off. Plus an original vinyl demo is very, very rare, most are styrene.

E Bay , Yum Yums
I must have played this a thousand times and I could play it another thousand times without getting bored of it, it's absolute perfection and anyone who disagrees with me must surely be the victim of a cruel medical experiment

E Bay , Yum Yums
I am shocked. It's the best Northern record ever made. In my opinion.

Uk Issues
I wasn't really commenting on the playing out side, just whether they were UK Originals, but you're right up to a point; I've alsways said if it's the local dance round your handbag night, it doesn't matter what it's played off, but as you get to the more serious end of the scene, absolutely spot on Dave.

Blues Busters On Wirl
Whats the title?

Uk Issues
I wouldn't play them as orignals, I sell all of those as reissues - I suppose it's where you draw the line if you are a seller, most of those were issued due to Northern demand whereas original UK issues were exactly that - and they became in demand later.

Sandy Golden-Your Love Is Everything & When Were Alone Tonight
Yeah probably, I was just pre-empting the people who will no doubt post up outraged comments about me putting mine on ebay.

A Few Reggae Wants
Spot the mug competition, I saw one on Ebay on sunday and thinking it was the Conversation one, I snapped it up, turns out it was Christmas Parade, what a waste of £3 that was...

Sandy Golden-Your Love Is Everything & When Were Alone Tonight
I'm going to flog my double sided dub so if you hear someone else playing it, you'll know where it came from.

Can I Get Negative Feedback Removed?
Sent this guy in Spain a record by registered postage, he said he didn't receive it and put a claim in after 8 days (if he'd have just asked me I'd have refunded him anyway) so I supplied Paypal with all proofs of postage etc and eventually they found in my favour. So he immediately leaves me a negative feedback saying item not received. Can I get this removed seeing as I did nothing wrong? Oh and in case you want to avoid this buyer, his user name is Funkyroom.
