  1. I took something like 190 quid for that copy in the end I think...

Don't take it so seriously, it's only a record!

I sent Russell an acetate, bear in mind these are made of aliminium and are damn hard to damage, it was still packed in a mailer with the usual cardboard, when he got it it was almost bent in half!

Well if I have to get off the fence I'd prefer Susan Maughans version, I've always kept a copy of that and sold numerous copies of Wade Flemons.

They lost two registered packages that I sent to Paris. Well they didn't, they confirmed that they had arrived in Paris but the French posties obviously nicked the items.
  8. I did a topic like this years ago when I asked if people with names of soul singers would get picked on at school here in the UK; erm, Pervis Herder for a start...
  9. https://shop.ebay.co.uk/mayfairmenthol/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1 worth a look folks!

I like both but the perfect one would be Wade's voice on Susan's backing track
  11. First UK issue on red Atlantic has Dog Eat Dog on the B side too. Well mine does anyway.
  12. Now those are rare because I very rarely wrote my name on records after about 1975, before that my name was on both labels and scratched into the run offs, we had some theiving bastards at our parties round here
  13. I was thinking the same, but this often happens, see a record I sell for not very much being sold at high prices, e.g. I was still selling Stanky for a fiver when it was 50, Kent Meade for a tenner, I need to get out more.
  14. I sold mine to Steve Morgan on the train to the Locarno in early 1979, for £5. That was a lot of money then. It was obtained by our jackie's husband Malc at the casino but he can't remember exactly whenm he always thought it was the first night but seeing as kev didn't dj that night, he's obviously wrong.
  15. Yeah someone was on about how difficult it was to get a melvin davis - Find A Quiet Place original and I said I used to have one long ago, and I don't think anyone believed me, until Ted Massey posted up a photo of his copy and on the B side it said "Pete Smith 1978" or words to that effect.

  17. Thanks Paul. This one's visually about VG to VG+, plays VG+ to EX (mostly)
  18. It does have spoilers throughout Jock and is lower-fi than a proper cd recording. On the strength of hearing that, I think I'd buy the cd to be honest.
  19. Did we find out a price for this, I have one for sale but haven't a clue what to ask for it.
  20. At the end of the day it's a boot and it's not a rare boot so if you get £25 for it good luck to you
  21. Yes they are brilliant - especially the inst of Don't Pretend and Temptation Walk
  22. Didn't know there was one!
  23. Very very rare - I got 4 off the same guy off ebay and put Mark F onto him as well, apart from the ones that guy had, I don't think there have been any more on ebay. Managed to hold on to one of my copies for myself.
