CM did not offer the record as a second issue even though his reply to the enquiry he makes is clear that he knew that it was 2nd issue. But as you say John "People who buy 2nd issues only have themselves to blame"...even off the "most honest of dealers"

Nice of you to say Paul but of course you could...and anyone else......but trying to find a good central venue (with decks) with an enlightened Landlord who is willing to reward the DJs with a few drinks is not easy. But your main problem is with a midweek event. I used to travel into London twice a month in the days of SITC and TOS but the numbers attending rarely exceeded 40 people and in the death throws of SITC is was down to about 10. Friday starting at 6pm kept some London workers from going straight home. i think one of the main reason for good numbers at Blue Skies was that we only booked a date when we saw a free weekend in London and the surrounding area. You want a regular monthly date and that will often clash with something else if you did decide on a Friday. Anyway good luck if you get it going and you know you would have my support. M

Left work on friday evening bang on 5pm (had taken a change of clothes to work) and got to London Bridge by 6.15.....met a few friends in pub in Borough Market...after a quick one into an Italian restaurant for food and drink before a bus ride to Solid Hit Soul. A cracking night ...so good i missed my last train home and ended up in a travel lodge for the night ..... took me until Monday morning to recover!!!!!! great crowd in SHS and fantastic uptempo 60s Northern Soul...guest DJ Rob Smith was brill....

It is on a Kent CD..... Twinight Recordings I think but i can't find my CD...now who did I lend that to?

If that is the one with Mel Britt on vocals...sort of got a funky edge to it...i have it on a CD at home somewhere...if i can find it I'll add it to Refosoul...

Why continue to run The 6T's R&S Society at the 100 Club if you are making a loss. I have no love of the venue...as someone else has mentioned the dancefloor isn't great and the sound system is variable. Musically I think it delivers a balanced mix. Find a smaller, cheaper venue and go back to members only.

Absolutely....how will it be kept our special underground scene if you open it up to tourists...
