It's all about making money I'm afraid.......Trying to find a venue that will put on an allnighter isn't easy. Getting staff to run the bar, and good security to work from 12 till 8, is nigh on impossible.....The venue owners aren't stupid, and don't want to open at 12, for people who have been elsewhere drinking for hours, then come in and drink bottled water till 8am. They don't do it for the love of our music. They do it for hard cash. I used to open at 11pm, and close at 6am. [there's no way that the owner or the staff would work later than that.] And don't forget, it takes at least another hour to pack up, and clean up for the next night. I was talked into starting at 10pm, so as to give people a chance to DJ, and show us what they can do.....The staff moan about the time every month. They want to get home from work, just like we do..... Phil.

I've tried everywhere looking for some heavy weight white card 7inch sleeves. I even paid a fortune from the American bags unlimited firm. Heavy duty white sleeves "my arse" they are thinner than the ones over here. I used to get fantastic quality ones from Beating Rhythm in Manchester, but they have stopped doing them. Anybody know where I can obtain some of the heavy weight card ones I'd be eternally greatfull. Phil.

I don't think the problem is the smoking ban......it's the rules and regulations that go with it that are totally over the top. Surely if a venue has a room that could be set aside for smokers to go in, as long as it was well ventilated, and isolated from the other room, what's the problem? I too am a reformed smoker, and I'm loving not having to breath all that shit in. But I really can't see a problem with a smoking room indoors. The government has just gone from one extreme to the other. Some common sense would solve a lot of the problems. Phil.

This looks like the copy that was on ebay a few weeks ago?? He put a huge reserve on it just in case. What you have to remember with these records is, there are very few people who 1. Can afford to pay several thousand pounds for a record. And 2. Once those handfull of people have got a copy there are no buyers left. I was talking about this 45 with a collector friend of mine today. He's got a mint copy, and we both feel that now this has been uncovered, more copies will surface. Be patient. I was never that keen on it personally. Good but not great. Just m.h.o. of course. Phil.
