  1. They are constantly on ebay. Some were made on red vinyl too. I used to have one but the sound quality is poor [low volume] I love the tune. Phil.
  2. talarmstrong2.MP3 There you go.

The other way round my friend. Parisians is a mess to my ears, with a much bigger production, girl or kiddie backing singers. Traditions is a much cleaner more basic production. Them bongo's make it for me.

The Parisians has girl backing singers for a start. I've also heard about a third version, but not heard it.

The Traditions is the better version in my humble opinion, reccon my mate got a bargain with the one on ebay about a month ago.

  7. About £700
  8. The copy on ebay looks very dodgy to me. It shows number 001 on the You Said side, and shows 003 on the Hey Boy side?????? Very strange.
  9. Have heard Guy Hennigan spin the Fashionettes for a long time. Absolutely brilliant version of the Ann Sexton track. Ady has found some amazing stuff. Phil.
  10. A couple of copies gone through ebay recently very cheap. Issued twice, the one to have has the flip, Baby the magic is gone. Which for me is the superior tune.
  11. Burnley is on a FRIDAY night.......Lifeline is on a SATURDAY night.........the venues are 120 miles appart. How can that be clashing????? I think I've been to every Lifeline bar 2.....and I always bring others with me......I've changed my dates several times to avoid clashing.....1st Friday of the month is Prestwich, which was my original date until The Wilton decided to move their allnighter to this date. Nothing was said to me, I just altered my date......second Friday is Lowton/DDA........third Friday is Bury town hall....All are in the north west...that just leaves the fourth Friday, and that's what I use. I think it's very unfair to blame Burnley for the demise of Lifeline. I would have been there as usual. Where were the rest of you???? Phil.
  12. Wow! never seen that before. Thanks for posting it up.
  13. It depends on where you want to be in the strange world of Northern Soul. as suggested many times on this forum there are two scenes running side by side, if you want to be in the inner sanctum, you have to play by the rules. If you are happy with 'anything goes' do what you like but dont expect to be taken seriously. Brilliant. spot on.

How much is this record worth then? Phil.
  18. Many thanks Steve. Sorry not seen you around for ages, but my shift paterns have been altered, and my Friday nights are screwed mate. I hope to catch up soon. Thanks everyone for the help, it's obviously a boot. Phil.
  19. Terrible sound quality as well.

Tother side gettin plays at Burnley thanks to Dickie Watt, brilliant Philly soul.
  21. I remember having a boot in the 70's that was very dark green, you could hardly read the print. I've also had an original green copy, and the sound quality was very low. This blue one looks very nice and just like the original. I've never seen it before, and I thought maybe original like the yellow Exits?
  22. Just gonna say, I thought the boots were dark green.
