Loved the intro though and used to really like it and suddenly just went off it!! Sure I read once it was actually from a stage show!! If I hear it again anywhere I'll post it up.

I'd like the 100club to be about 10 minutes away instead of having a two and half hour drive there and back.

  10. Very sad about Nigel. first met him at top at the world when I was 15- pre Soul nights and allnighters- when Gary Glitter was on of all people. Later I used to see the two Nigels and their friend Ronnie at the top at the world soul nights on a monday when I was 16. Years later when we met again at Bretby and he was pleased I'd remembered him from all those years ago.He used to look very smart with his jacket on. RIP Nigel from Sue and Chris [stafford] Condolences to his family and Nigel B

  16. In 'streets of fire' a soul group called the Sorels appear helping the main characters in the story escape from a gang who are chasing them.
  17. will you play records like 'tomorrow may never come' by The four Gents, 'there's a pain in my heart' and I'll be on my Way.
  18. this is the oldies versus newies debate all over again perhaps all promotors of a certain age should retire as well and there would be a lot less choice for people. just think the 100 club would finish over night if the over 45's rule came into effect. If you don't like old DJ's arrange your own venues and DJ's and don't go and listen to the 'oldies' and moan and vice versa. The 100 club has been going for years and there has been all different age groups there enjoying the music. Irish Greg was an original younger DJ in his 20's when he was a regular there and filled the floor when he was on. How would you prove a DJ was too old anyway ask for their birth certificate before you booked them!!!
