Chalky - The word Known again is subjective and open to any sort of interpretation and is not backed up with empirical evidence IE " The known people signing a sheet of paper to say they own a copy" I own one of the 2 copies of the sidney barnes orch (Audiodisc acetate) Their is empirical evidence for this as a piece of paper explained what happened and was signed. (Empirical evidence). ATB Steve
  10. The problem is that Northern soul didnt actually embrace soul music per se - It took whatever had a dance beat! If it was soul in its origin all the better but it was not exclusive!
  11. I have to ask but as Detroit soul is on cd the question is why is this being repressed. Unissued I can understand but one that has already been booted way back then why? same for a lot of the other releases! Why in todasy technology the only people who would want a 7 Inch is the DJs who want to play boots and have 15 minutes of fame!
  12. On that basis the one he was selling was a boot and a lack of reply suggests he knows it and is not being upfront about it!Especially as he mentions original in his other sales but not this one but also doesnt mention its BOOT AS WELL.
  13. The Jerry Cook finished at 82 pounds https://www.ebay.co.u...=item336ad9c17e Ive checked his other completed listings and he mentions originals for them but not for this- AS Pete Says Naughty!

back on topic- Ill repeat myself for the umpteenth time. Unless their is provenance as to how many copies were made and if they left the press plant with a delivery note no-one knows how rare a record is full stop. So all the conjecture is then played about with like a rumour on Fleet Street! What is the definition of "rare" The word itself is not measurable- they have even stopped using the word rare on the Antiques roadshow and prefer to use the term "Uncommon" - The question is do you want to put a bet on something that is uncommon today and more common tommorow! Without the evidence to back up the claim its justa guessing game thats all!
  15. I will apreciate Richard more when he gives me a cd or copy of Quasar one by Cleveland Eaton!
  16. Tim Tam & The Turn Ons - Wait minute -Palmer If I hear this I want to take a large brandy and smash my head into a jelly! Its just utter crap! Even The Snake sounds brilliant compared to this!
  17. Get in the queue mate! I keep posting this one up with no luck!

Think Sebastien had one on ebay finishing today. Norwegian Fontana with Pic sleeve was also issued on British fontana and another Euro country I can remember but thats on ebay as well with a buy it now price but a bit expensive. -The US Copy on Brit seems to be a bit harder to find for some reason! Some people dont like the vocal on this - too high but i love it and started playing it around 3-4 years ago
  21. A member on here had this up for sale in the Ebay section -I looked at it and thought thats looks like the Counterfeit so I check in manships and yes it represented the 106 as in Johns book. It was at around £70+ with a few hours to go. No mention of the counterfeit in the description. I pmd the guy on here and messaged him through Ebay putting forward that according to Johns book this looks like the boot - I received no replies back at all either here or on Ebay. I dont have the link as Im at work on my lunch but you can get it from the "completed" if you type in Jerry Cook. Is this one of those that had the real Capitol lables put on it like the Alexander Patton or am I wrong? ATb Steve P.S. He has been on here since I posted my question to him.
  22. I notice you didnt reply to my pm or message on ebay regarding Jerry Cook! Regards Steve
