  3. It is funny how our parents shape your musical tastes, my mother loved Elvis with a passion, and she went out with allot of bikers or Rockers, she told me she actually went out with Vale Onslow's son for a while, who was a very well known Motor bike dealer in Birmingham. Anyhow Once I started to become interested in records I found a record she had that always makes me smile, she had a cracked orange RCA copy of Roy Hamilton - Crackin up over you, which she used to sing to while using the hoover... she said she thought it was Elvis.... Hi all, thanks to everybody who got back to me regarding Aussie sleeves, much appreciated as they are buggars to get in good condition, especially as most Aussie kids loved to sign their records Shirl loves Wal etc... Anyhow I'm asking again, and also this time I need Bullet or Promo stickers, for festival and W&G releases. basically you don't get white demo's on most Festival stuff, they did make some but they are super rare, generally you get a bullet sticker as shown below, and allot of these do come off, basically I have mint 45's that just need a tad bit of tarting up, and bullet stickers are a great way to keep em authentic, clean and lovely to look at...I know, I'm sad... W&G had a sort of red Oblong sticker, that had for promotional use only..and allot seem to get torn off leaving nasty looking labels... so if you can help come back, I'll pay for what ever is offered of course, although I've never priced a promo sticker before...or if its a crap pop release I'll simply buy the disc and perform surgery at home.. Kind Regards, Malcolm also Uk sleeves: Anybody got the following sleeves for sale? UK sleeves... 2 x UK Liberty sleeves UK epic x 1 Stax x 2 1 x Probe 1 x Page 1 Must all be mint condition, mail me on here * If anybody has good condition Aussie sleeves, always interested, only 6t/ 7ts label sleeves.. cheers Mal
  8. is that the techno side, of course your right, the lesser of the two, I bought my copy when it came out for £2.99 from HMV in Brum, my golly music as good as this for literally pennies.. i'm surprised this did not make the above anni release, or did it? Mal
  9. I used to licence allot of images to acid jazz for some of their later releases, anyhow I 'd made a call the one day and the receptionist answers the phone, and guess what he name was? Ann Sexton, and she had no idea why I nearly fell of my seat... I've often thought somebody must have taken her on, but maybe never told her......??? laughs favourite track by a country mile, the utterly Brilliant: Earthy Powers - by Man Called Adam, what a record.... Mal.C
  10. should not need much introduction, very nice classic for sale which Ive literally had for two weeks, asking what i paid for it... Gene Woodbury - Ever Again (Del-Val) Pretty much mint but 1 light paper scuff. Label mint) ** SOLD ** I Need payment direct into my bank account on this one, sorry no pay pal, cheque, or basically fees, mail me to confirm. Kind regards, Malcolm
  11. Really, most seem to be coming from the states in very minty condition, from a few different sellers I notice... I'm glad I bought it at its bottom price point, just like Betty Lloyd which was around at £60 in 91/2 then crept back up... On another of the mass finds, how many do we think are in circulation on Joe King / Royal Esquires Prix releases, and were they via that The Numero group that did the CD, I never worked that out fully... Mal.C
  12. that's really nice on the Demo.. I was lucky enough to get a mint issue in a store in Glastonbury last year, for a fiver...the lady actually went on-line so she could hear it while I was sifting through some other 45's I thought the game was up, but low and behold she just asked for five quid... Record collectors, we do love a bargain!! Mal.C
  13. just watched some of this, it aint half bad.... but what the hell is Phil Jupitus wearing btw? if I'd have done it I'd have gone to a decent nighter and interviewed people there, and outside the venue, then cut the relevant 'History' in.. make sure the presenter is seen having a drink, and in the receipt of some nice records, then at least well know he made an effort...
  14. I think the inclusion of Phill Jupitus says it all, that said I haven't yet seen it, and I have to say I can listen to Robert Elms any time of the day.. I think the thing with these shows is the format they insist on sticking to, ok its its an archive heavy factual programme made from a diminishing pool of original content, which can only generally be illustrated with a splattering of talking heads, but if you want to see how well a programme of this genre can be made, look no further that Flame TV's ' Pump up the Volume' commissioned by channel four back in 2001/2, without doubt the best series on a scene I've seen. I think something along the lines of actually following some people to a nighter, with the history running parallel says allot more the viewer, there are tons of ways you can tell the story make it allot more engaging. You can pretty much guarantee they didn't bother thinking about that, and stuck to the same old..
  15. I listen to the Richard Searling interview with Frank all the time, and in a way its kind of lead me to know him, obviously I don't and have never met him, but I'm really shocked by this news. Indeed an absolute legend in the history of Pop Music, all my condolences to his family and friends. Malcolm
  16. that one on Ebay tuther week, had the full sound file which I managed to grab.... I don't have the money to buy one of these but at least folk can now hear it on their i-pods, if anybody wants the MP3, drop us a line with your hot mail or personal email account and I'll send it over with a scan of the track. Mal.C

  19. Anybody got the following sleeves for sale? UK sleeves... 2 x UK Liberty sleeves UK epic x 1 Stax x 2 1 x Probe 1 x Page 1 1 Capitol Must all be mint condition, mail me on here * If anybody has good condition Aussie sleeves, always interested, only 6t/ 7ts label sleeves.. cheers Mal
  20. Love Chris Rea, think this was officially the flip to 'Road to hell', but this particular mix came out in 89, I had back then but now its a buggar to pick up again. Great memories of it being played at the Hummingbird in Birmingham at their early kipper nights.. M
  21. Probably get some abuse for this, But I don't post anywhere else on the web, so when the mood takes me I like my early house or rave if you like... bit of fun, and f****** great music.. Rather nice French lady.. if anybody might have this 12' mix and want to sell it...I'm there... ex scooter boys...this used to get played at house clubs great dance track.. I must have played this solidly for a month when I bought it, still feel the same, a TUNE!! No other record ever, anything like this, original and totally brilliant.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p73S0BE13Xo What can you say about Renegade Soundwave? stick your chemical Brothers, they were not a patch on this lot!!! best for last, or nearly... this is the Jimmy Radcliffe of HOUSE... !!! absolutly BRILLIANT!!! Mal.C
  22. anybody trade: Ralph Graham - Differently LP / Sussex (inc. Aint no Need) Vinyl M- Cover is sound just has a slight bit of water damage at the top, which has not broken through, if you know what I mean. Great LP with the original version of this song, miles better that Skye. for Les McCann - Sings the Hits (sad Little girl) on usa Limelight or Uk Mercury LP Mal.C
  23. as one of the kids that was turned in the 8ts, I'd plum for Magic Tough as that LP in fact all the Kent LP's were hot property in 2nd and 3rd year.. which would have been 1982/3/4 The only other record which for me was as big maybe a tad later in 85/6/7 was Suspicion - which then was covered as the Detroit Prophets. Mal.C
  24. same here, this track is brilliant..
  25. Just got a Columbus Recorders Acetate of Rick Baker - that's called love, double sided per the released version I think, with 'Got You' on the flip, very interesting thing, wondered if anybody knows much about Rick, and Columbus Recorders? I know this was picked up in a Goodwill shop in Sacramento, CA. seller said there were several musically similar promotional, DJ-copy 45s from the same time period (nothing noteworthy) in the bin with it, all priced on the same day,so it is speculation that it came from the collection of an ex-radio DJ.
