  4. Hi there, just the one Lp. The Choice Four / The Finger Pointers Lp / RCA / EX++ £15 (three stand out tracks, a really great slower version of Bobby Reed’s ‘If I Don't Love You', 'Finger Pointers pt1/2', and the brilliant 'The Women I've Been True to', in fact that's my favourite this week. ----- I prefer direct Bank Transfer, but you can pay by PayPal either Friends & Family or add the normal 4% fee. Postage: £4.00 for up to two 45's, add 50p after that. Sent 1st Class signed for (Within the UK, insured up to £50) anything over £50 via Special Delivery, £8.00 (Insured up to £500) within the UK. * If you are outside the UK, just tell me where and I'll quote you via PM. 5. Cheers Guys, opted for the half size Bookcase along the same wall, the 80x28x106 cm one, which fitted the 45's I had perfectly... BILLY does it again! lol
  6. Cheers Guys, looks great, comes in blk, I want something half that height, I don't think 'Billy' comes like that..
  7. Yep, that essential but God-awful boring subject that affects us all! I've a new house, and a new problem to solve. I bought a DJ bench thing from Ikea, great for LPs... So, I have another room with 45's in, but I need to make room in a corner of this one, for I guess about 1000 45's... see below pic. I want something that isn’t too high as well if I can get away with it... Any ideas for an off the shelf solution? pls excuse the pun... Malc This is the Ikea DJ shelving thingy I got... looks the business, great for LP's and 12's, except that top shelf for 45's, is 1cm too short to fit them....what’s ridiculous is that lady actually has a pile of 45's in the promo shot... stick with the record boxes kids!
  8. Hi folks, never use this guitar strap. Bought it and it's sat on one of my acoustic guitars for years, dont use that guitar either! still got the original tags...in perfect nic, no rips, stains, or anything. Sells new for £45/£50, do it for £20 you pay post. ----- I prefer direct Bank Transfer, but you can pay by PayPal either Friends & Family or add the normal 4% fee. Postage: £4.00, Sent 1st Class signed for (Within the UK, insured up to £50) * If you are outside the UK, just tell me where and I'll quote you via PM. Cheers Malcolm

  10. Rest in Peace Burt Bacharach Doesn't come much bigger on this site / scene...
  11. Great show, well worth listening too. A tribute to classic Chicago radio station WJPC (Ebony/Jet's radio station) hosted by Reclaimed Soul host Ayana Contreras with former WJPC program director Richard Steele, an interview with Chicago disco/soul legend Linda Clifford ("Runaway Love", "If My Friends Could See Me Now").
  12. FYI, was told that this is the old ‘Stanley Michell-Now You’ve Got Me Baby’ coverup at Stafford for Pat Brady... think that was the inst side, not the vocal
  13. Trade Martin on Stallion sounds thunderous in big venues, but then we all know that! Get IN!!
  14. I was told in the 8ts, that all the Spyder Turners' came over as balast on ships into ports such as Liverpool... Highly untrue, but a nice story... and that this was a million seller, it couldnt have been could it?
  15. Don't knock em, just be glad somebody is putting out this great music! and in superb quality...
  16. A Sad day, Rest in Peace Barrett Strong. here are some snippits of acetates that were sold on Ebay years ago, just rough cut tracks laid down to reference... Barrett co wrote 'Use Your Head' for Mary Wells, nice to hear him singing a rough idea for the song long before it was recorded by Mary, a great way to hear Barrett at work! "Use Your Head" written by Barrett Strong, Wade Flemons and The Dells' Chuck Barksdale and released as a single by former Motown singer Mary Wells on the 20th Century Fox label". Barrett Strong - Use Your Head.mp3 Barrett Strong - Such A Sweet Thing.mp3 Barrett Strong - This Old Love Of Mine.mp3
  17. I wasnt collecting soul in 73, I was 5 years old.... but Freda Payne - Band Of Gold, was released in that year, so may work for you... also Jackie Moore - Both Ends Against The Middle... S.O.U.L - This Time Around, both, in fact all new releases in 73... I think they were all noticed!!

  19. There was a Arnold McCuller for sale on here some years back, was a few hundred quid I think, cheap really. Obviously I missed it.. I'd love a Gavin Christopher 7", if anybody has one?
  20. Sounds great, I have to admit I've always found 'Girl I've Been Trying To Tell You' just a tad too sweet for my ears, but I like the other tracks on this Lp... 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' sounds like a crap title, but it’s a great song... I see 'Have You Ever' which is class.....as listed for this LP, but it seems to not be on certain label releases?? Graham International, Tsg records and a P-Vine reissue... is this a gospel Lp? * The Enchanted Five – Have You Ever (That's What It Means), its a comp with the same title, not the Ultimates as Ive said above
