evryone has got or had the bottom end stuff and probably wants the more middle to top end records,so you aint got much chance of selling the bottom end stuff really, unless new collectors come in and start off with cheaper stuff! sell them as packs for dead cheap money...that will appeal to all the greed in us all...haha

Yes Jocko I can see where your coming from,I've actually not worded the sentence to how I meant it,its more a visual statement,the professionals and toni ross gives me the feeling of northern soul and dancing and spinning to them at a sweaty allnighter,the Sandy golden gives me a completely different image,but saying that,the reason I was drawn to and stayed with northern soul is because it's so varied,and I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up to it if I was offered one at the right money.

When I hear the sandy golden-you are my everything,the way she sings with the piano tinkling away,I imagine her stood at a piano in cabaret bar!

Don't get me wrong,the professionals is in my top 5 best tunes ever,but the sandy golden is closer to bar music than soul,but the toni ross stands a chance of being a big sound on the northern scene in the future,especially if a couple more copys turn up.

The toni ross will out shine the sandy golden and the professionals...sandy golden and professionals have had there day,time to shove over for some fresh unknown (to many) real deal rare northern soul!

jm has listed a sandy golden..and some other tasty items...this is a big expensve xmas!

I still don't get why John as emphasis on the word ORIGINAL,that just suggests to me that it is a classic northern soul tune that we've only ever known on a boot or reissue,and now a 1 only copy as surfaced as a demo or issue. I don't think it will be any of the usual suspects already mentioned..ie..gold professionals...Don varner on veep,or any of the wand rarities. I for one,will be a bit disappointed if its a gold professionals,considering the amount of issues that have turned up in recent years.

I can confirm the other acetate of b holloway-lonely boy,I sold it around 2005! If memory serves,I'm sure it had something else on the back..is it eddie kendricks

I agree with pete,the dean Courtney issue is a once in a lifetime record! It's probably the record that's on jm s teaser haha...all mgm demos aren't really rare at all,and drift in and out of fashion! I wouldn't give anymore than 250 quid for any of em!

well its definately a record that has never been seen on vinyl before! so forget proffessionals..jnr mccants..etc...it will defo be something that is very well known to everybody that we have only heard on a cd or reissue from a tape or acetate from the vaults! my money is on melba moore-magic touch with another cracking b side! or the originals-baby have mercy/suspicion

it has to be said mate that,how in gods name does this record go for £3.5 on jm's,yet your copy is still sat here at £625,and by all accounts equally the same condition....the mind boggles!

Northern soul classic ORIGINAL!...that would suggest that it's a widely common classic among us all,and that it's known not to exist,and that it's probably a boot that we have all had/got or seen! So get checking through your boots! And it would suggest that it doesn't exist on any other label...ie don gardner on Quinvy/veep...just bros on garrison/wand!
