Bob And Earl - Harlem Shuffle
right! am I just being confused? is it that Ken's copy on Trip is actually Jackie Lee (Earl) on his own, with his remake that he did at Mirwood in 1966 of his and Bob Relf's 1963 record on Marc? or am I missing something? (usually do! ) steve ps. that great instumental version that Toad posted also came out on 45 if I remember, on flip of Contempo's release of Harlem Shuffle in 1973ish

Ken, I always thought "Trip" was a re-issue label from New Jersey in the early 70's steve

Magic Carpet Ride Gabriella Cilimi
brilliant footage, and agree ps. a very young looking Madeline Bell on the left too! back on topic, "Magic Carpet Ride" a proper finished version by Little Anthony would have been the best version for me by far! I know there's an acetate out there of a demo cut by Little Anthony (at least it was thought to be him!) steve steve

Chris Morgan - Who Am I
Mick, dunno if you heard the original version mate, but Jerry Ganey's take is well worth a listen, ya gotta let it build, but when it does it's one of the best "blue eyed" soul numbers out there for me. penned and produced by Bill Medley, it really is "Righteous" jerry ganey - who am i - steve ps. for info, it's the flip ov "Just A Fool" on Verve
