    Legit.
  2. Such a wag Simon. I heard you spent £5 there once Seriously, still after a copy of this book.....PM if you have a copy for sale. Cheers Steve
  3. Bit of an unusual request but......does anyone have a copy of this book that they'd be willing to sell? Steve
  4. It's easily the hardest on the label. I prefer the flip.
  5. Hurrah! At blomin last. Someone else that has the same view as me on these FHs. I went into detail on this before but was told "No no, the bloke selling them swears they are original" etc. I saw a repro and an original at Cleethorpes a few years back - very different. Thanks for posting this Steve.
  6. It's legit.
  7. Sorry for coming to the party so late but these two sides do exist on a 45
  8. Too much information brother!
  9. it came out on more than one label though didn't it? Mine's a purple label, but cannot remember the label name.
  10. It's a fantastic double sider
  11. hi Cliff, not to many vinyl jukeboxes left in the US even then......300-50 is what I heard. ATB, Steve
  12. Amazing, I got mine at the time (thankfully), I think it was done for jukeboxes only so probably no more than a 300 /500 press run.
  13. Hee hee! I agree with your sentiment on the critics who are unable to see the film for being a film (and from what i remember the smashed record looked more like a US CP demo - but I might be wrong and what do I know about rare records anyway?). But poor old Barry Norman was a very good film critic who wasn't up his own whatever. And really Matt - as for "walking out of the cinema in shock after 40 minutes" - goodness me, it's the sort of reaction I'd expect from Mary Whitehouse on finding herself in the wrong theatre seeing "Last Tango in Paris"!. "Painfully British looking?" what a snobbish comment! Some of us love British looking films. Try "Coast to Coast" next. Score wise probably a 7 from me.
  14. Read about this in the Evening Standard. Story of rip off rents, can't make enough money to cover costs etc.
  15. Simon, This really is a load ot talking loud and saying nothing fella......Plenty of us were there at WC and plenty of us seemingly enjoyed the film as a film, innacuracies and all. If you want a documentary you have: This England - but that got messed up didn't it. And we were campaigning against it at the time - if you were there you would remember how controversial it was The Strange World of NS - but others criticise that Loads of TV clips from over the years - good bad and indifferent Trouble is whoever makes a documentary about NS it is only ever going to be from their perspective and others will say it's not how it was, it missed the 80s whatever. If you think you can do better, then go for it! Anyway it's Wigan it's nearly 40 years ago, frankly many of us have moved on a bit. Reference point indeed! Please be realistic. Steve
  16. Dave I think the acetate only contains the side "Ordinarily". The other two known copies are both issues, probably never demo'd.
  17. Agreed. Great radio tune though! Think I got mine in West Palm Beach some years ago. It was cheap ($8) but from a collector who likes sweet / deep etc ......
  18. This will put the cat amongst the pigeons with a few.... Saw it at Leicester Square the other night and enjoyed it. As soul couple has said above a straight forward love story set against a northern soul back cloth. It wasn't really an accurate reprersentation of the Casino in some ways, but it was an enjoyable enough film. Would watch it again when it gets onto TV.

Loads of people playing it Marc. Sorry to burst your balloon

Yes but what I mean Nick is that it's never really been that popular. I know it's been championed, played etc. but interest in it has always been slightly eclectic IMHO

Yup, just checked my copy....if John found 100 copies there, that's probably a large part of the press that got 'dumped'. Am really glad that this record is so highly thought of, it'll have it's day one day.
