  1. the mix you need is the Aston Martini mix. every other mix awful,
  2. Ive also heard this too. Apparantly some people in 1965 were confused also no G&W demos of "it's a shame" - it was just rushed out over here, and whilst there may have been some promotional copies (issues given away), there are no "demonstration" copies
  3. My second guess........It's a virtual event in Virtual world. Go to the Second Life website and you can buy tickets at 35 Linden dollars. There will be 1500 virtual soulies there, virtually dancing, to virtually Vickie Baines.
  4. Blue Soul one is def an original. got mine from SOUL Bowl

Ginger's version sounds more like the Nate Evans based on your description Gareth. But he called it Herman Hitson - confused!!!

I've got other ones like that, demos, Simms Twins, olympics being two that spring to mind - they were the last releases on the label weren't they? MGM distributing

A much later design from 1968 ish?
  8. It's on Magic Touch - good record, good luck finding it. Shouldn't be too hard
  9. Steve G replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
and Ginger has a copy of it too
  10. Dean Parrish because of the Wigan connection, and Timi Yuro - can't go to a venue without hearing it.....so I'd agree with those two.
  11. Wasn't she supposed to be the singer who became Karen Young?
  12. I was looking at that horrible off red colour. Those 70s boots were largely vinyl as I remember. If it's styrene does it have a Bell Sound / Nashville Matrix or Delta number I wonder?
  13. Kelly Garrett "Love is the only solution"
  14. Steve G replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
    acetate only andy
  15. I can live with that, having a run of Philly Grooves with that one missing is like having a set of teeth with a gaping hole
  16. Is this still being played? It's been around the block for the best part of a year now - so agree like a Frank Wilson already I still like it though
  17. That LOOKS like a boot done in the 70s at the same time as Rose Batiste.
  18. Hmmm....very nice one for those vinyl hounds.....presumably this was pressed up for juke boxes or something? Paul finding this reminds me of Cracksteppin' on a 7" - another 'ard one. Sam found one in his garage Although----wait a minute I wonder if the better quality sound reproduction on the Latosia 12 counts for anything?
  19. Think your wife is right. An example of a record that's rare because ...........it didn't sell.......... ............because it's awful
  20. I thought these super fast things were back in vogue again. I always quite liked it as a record.
  21. Ouch!!! that reminds me when those Las vegas guys found all that Clem Martin stuff in the garage, they thought they had everything. They didn't - turns out the widow had a few other bits in the loft including some unissued acetates - one of which is pretty good northern.
  22. Always the risk with rare vinyl isn't it. The passage of time is making that less likely I guess but it is still possible.
  23. Who was Mr M ?
  24. I love that record - one of the most energetic northern soul oldies of all time Another RCA one in the same vein Herb Ward - Honest to goodness Both these records smack you in the gob.
