Yeah thought similar. This is why I thought it a bit 'rum' that he didn't get a mention in the dvd. Esqurita and Little Richard hard to tell apart in some pics..

Watched the rather excellent 'Standing in the shadows of Motown' the other night, fully expecting our man Choker to get a mention, but nowt! I know the Funk Brothers were the Funk Brothers etc and Choker Campbell and his band had been around since the dawn of time and ended up at Motown. However beyond that I'm a little hazy on the subject. Any more info from CC experts warmly welcomed.
  6. Agreed. He may have worn a dress and sandals at Woodstock, but that's the better version.
  7. Way I see it, it's a question of everything in moderation.

  15. Picked up a couple of bits blind at a record fare not so long back. One was a KAPP demo (can't remember artist or title) but looked the part. Other was by the Sandpipers. Both were appalling.

Yeah it's kinda big .. This thread's where it's at for sure. Just been in 'Proper Soulies' .. What with that and other miz threads, oh dear oh dear .. No, looking at the Vontastics and Eddie Holland earlier on ebay and the excitement of pondering whether either or both should join the collection, gets the old collecting adrenaline juices going. So to speak. That and for reasons already stated, proves there's no future in being downbeat.
