  1. Indeed. Though this was no mere mention. This was a segment! And on Radio 2 as well. I would feel more the way you do if it had of been Solar 0129.. "Radio 2 at 7.15, the This Day In History segment presented by Kate Humble featuring the details about the Frank Wilson auction and what it raised".
  2. Yes Dutch (Kenny has one) not heard of a German Phillips though..
  3. Mucker, to me you're sounding a bit like the great handbagging unwashed, know about and tolerate NS. I think in all honesty the majority of non hard core fans know dick. I think Seagrave has nailed it.
  4. "Oh oh oh I'm just a drifter" ...
  5. Unless the person who sells on here is called Manship, then they should put it up for 30 quid or whatever. A record is a record. A reputation is a reputation. To confuse the two means you're a bit of a tit.
  6. "I heard it tell me to piss off as I posted it".

Granted it ain't a peppy dancer, but I think boring is a bit harsh. It's an atmospheric builder with a very soulful vocal. That's why it's 800 sheets to a grand.

I remember telling my mate (who was a big fan of the tune) it was in a list for £150 in 1990. He rightfully snapped it up. What is it now, four figures? If not that, then not far off. Great record.
  13. (Just seen this) Yeah that's the one mate! Awesome! Where did you find it? That would be great if you pop it on a disc to me, I owe you!
  14. Yep sods law. Or as my mate Richard would say c*nts law. Similar, but slightly more extreme. I just find it difficult to believe there's not even a clip of the programme, anywhere!
  15. Yeah that's the one mate 'Top Ten (1999) Season 2 Episode 7 Sixties Soul' Ian Sims If there's one man on God's green Earth that can help, it's Stuart Cosgrove ? 13 hours ago · Like

  17. There was a tv documentary on in the 90's that charted the top ten sixties soul acts by record sales. Supremes were number 1, Marvin 2nd & Temps 3rd. Smokey Robinson was the presenter, Bobby Womack was in it also and the Temps manager and others. I don't have any other info, other than I think is was on Ch4?
  18. Joe Douglas - 'Toss off and shout as loud as you can'.. Crazy Things! Ruby Andrews - Just loving you, near the end of the song, Rube can definitely be heard to sing "such a tit head" - no question! 2 mins 18 secs ...

  23. Indeed it is Kevlar. I only got it for the Sam Davis when I was little. I don't think anyone would play these grubby turds out. My mate got a 12" Alfred Davidson for cents whilst visiting Philadelphia some years back. Lucky bastard.
