it does and I doubt anyone serious about their music would go to do a set with the Ralph Graham 45, I would expect to see the LP.

    I got a test press

Ha, never noticed what's was on the promo

Are the demos not real? I notice the issue is from a UK seller 😉 There is the Lp as well. My point being with so much stuff in the vaults why not dig into that for RSD rather than straight forward reissues/Lp tracks?

Not enough unreleased for me, stuff like Sharon Ridley isn't that expensive and the Ralph Graham side you can probably buy the Lp as cheap as the 45.
  7. Does any store/site in the UK actually have the vinyl copy in stock?
  8. The Uptight Ethics are not the same group as the Ethics on Vent, Wale.
  9. I haven't seen that one but seen other Lp tracks on Argie 45, Chuck Jackson for one.
  10. This weeks show, another fab one with some great music, some of it unissued and from acetate courtesy of Kevin Johansen.
  11. Different group I think and have a connection to the Barclay label (Traditions etc).
  12. Bootleg, the matrix number is from mid 1976
  13. But most were happy with the download, same for other releases, its just this scene that is more concerned with vinyl and it is the northern soul lot driving the prices stupid. The record that started this topic isn’t very good, hardly anyone outside the northern scene is interested in it, certainly not at the prices quoted Just enjoy the music whatever the format.
  14. Far better than the other side. Its also a pretty good Lp and Fire is one of the weakest on it IMO, its just not very good, just suitable for the northern scene dance floors. Repetitive and boring.
  15. Gateway - Show Is Over 25 copies only, I was lucky enough to get one
  16. At least 300 of Grace which is just not very good El Counts Executives on Cannonball, far superior. There are dozens in my collection far better than Grace. It is only NS scene demand that has forced the price up.
  17. By rarest do you mean most expensive? Grace Love is no rarer than most other new releases and its on an Lp as well, every other track on the Lp is better as well. Demand seems to be easing off too and prices dropping in set sales?
  18. One of the members of the Martineques commented on soulfuldetroit and confirmed they were the same group. Tootsie sounds more Detroit than many Detroit records Wonder who he is?
  19. It’s possible I guess he did Martineques and Tootsie in Detroit before the move but pressed in LA after he moved?
  20. Royal Jokers On Metro & Keldon: Willie Jones, Noah Howell, Ted Green, Billy Lyons & Raymond Dorsey. On Fortune & Wingate: Willie Jones, Noah Howell, Billy Lyons & Raymond Dorsey. There is mention of all the members previous groups but no mention of the Martineques.
  21. Mentioned on 45 cat Rocarmeo Pub. Co. (BMI), Romeo L. Taylor, 624 West 41st Drive, Los Angeles (1968 listing)
  22. It would appear Rob Bollon was still active in the 90s and was owner of the Laurie Group of labels when they sold their back catalogue..... Billboard 4 Jul 1992
  23. Loads of new releases not all retro in its appeal either. You can only progress so far before you take the human element and therefore the soul out of a track.
  24. The Decca group consist of Bobby Byrd and Earl Nelson. Pretty sure none of the Tangiers on other labels are the same group as our Baltimore group. https://doo-wop.blogg.org/tangiers-2-c26505418
