  1. Stick on label (if you can get your nail under the label) is styrene. If it is, which it sounds like then you have the 1973 reissue.

Some here on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-Polylined-White-Paper-Record-Sleeves-pack-of-50-/111257120493?_trksid=p2054897.l4276 Juno Records by the looks of it.... Pack of 50 £8.99 https://www.juno.co.uk/search/?q%5Ball%5D%5B%5D=paper+sleeves&submit-search=SEARCH
  3. The boot is early 90's isn't it? Some we're date stamped, some not, just like the original.
  4. The boot is a boot of the re-issue and according to JM came out in 1973 so would tie in with the re-issue of Jerry Williams at the same time. The original was 1970 wasn't it, Z4KM would indicate it was according to the RCA pressing plant info on Flynny's site. The re-issue 1973 so I would imagine whoever was behind Jerry Williams on Calla getting reissued was maybe behind this? Is the boot a boot of the re-issue?
  5. Some very knowledgeable people answered you elsewhere so a bit insulting to them your reply isn't it? You have what appears to be the reissue if it is styrene with stuck on label. There is no original release with the instrumental flip.
  6. As said elsewhere.....It was booted on vinyl and reissued on styrene as far as I am aware both with the instrumental on the flip. The original as said has machine stamped matrix, is on vinyl and has the flip "Alley Full Of Trash And Bottles".
  7. You don't need it, all that is needed is for sellers to leave the prices on their sold items instead of removing and replacing with sold. The site is fully searchable and any query would be found in no time with the most recent price.
  8. Chris Waterman is in regular contact with Gary., if you can't get hold of either let me know Ally.

There is allegedly another release by Little John, paper work apparently exists to say that it was either pressed or planned to be pressed but as far as I am aware no one has seen the 45.
  10. She is African American.
  11. Prisca Sutton is also on Facebook.

$200? Given away. £2445 on JM auction in 2008.
  13. I don't disagree with either yourself Tim or Tony with regards to what it is worth, it is a common record but I have seen it sell on at least one occasion for an amount near to the one quoted above and several times for £100 or so. Just done a search and there has been 8 wants requests in the last 7 or 8 months and quite a few on the FB groups as well, somebody obviously wants it.
  14. "Pass The Word" is the side that is in demand these days.
  15. now very in demand and I've seen it listed at what rarenorthernsoul is asking and more. Whether they sold and whether it is worth that is a different matter.

The reason it isn't popular is probably due to its rarity. There would still be enough interested in this disc for it to sell. Obviously the price would be affected after the first two or three.
  17. Are you putting these on DVD Wiggy? Wouldn't mind copies?
  18. I'm trying to remember his name..... Some great coffee kicking about in them days P.S. just seen John's post!

It's one of the rarest records out there. This has to be 3k plus?

For once we agree on something Phil
  21. Yes it isn't a bad read, not very long but some good stories. I enjoyed it.
  22. Yep done many a deal beofre a night out and collected and paid for record on arrival.....it is still business on the niggt how ever you look at it. As I said all dealers seem to struggle at venues, I do better on line when I do a list than at a venue, way the world is heading I'm afraid, soon be no high street. As for the best I couldn't say as I don't do nighters on a weekly basis and stopped doing nighters that offer the same old (I don't just mean oldies either) altogether.
  23. I would also say most wheeling and dealing is done in the first few hours and that record bars then become a social gathering. If you are a full time dealer then you are more than likely to do most of you business via a site, here or the many groups on FB, there is less and less emphasis on selling at a venue now. Don't know about others though I still like to see what I am buying.
  24. You know everything that happens up there do you? no you don't. John or Danny might tell you they sold this and that or bugger all but you can't speak for all the other dealers and besides you rarely venture up there.
  25. Most of the tables on the balcony are usually taken up, it is usually busy up there. I don't do a stock check to see what sellers shift nor is it the venues fault that some dealers have stock buyers do not wish to buy. i think the night Chris went, Dave Raistrick, Des Parker, Roger Banks were just three regular dealers missing that night. Ady Pierce was at the last one and he said he did ok? The balcony at Lifeline is usually busy but what sales actually take place you would have to ask the dealers, we simply provide somewhere for them trade. But it is like a lot of venues these days, buyers are doing most of their buying online.
