Mark, I've got the book, unfortunately it isn't for sale but if it helps you can loan the book whilst look for your own copy. I don't live too far from you, just down the M62 in Goole.

Manship's Old Auction Results
If you search forJohn Manships auction result but do it via advanced search, add Joe's name as well and a date it should narrow the options.

Rolling Stones Memory. Soul Related Honest
I should have said in reality not everything about them is good like it is being made out, particularly by the media.

The Icemen - 45S Listings,
Their best release is the one on Vest (IMO), absolutely fantastic, both sides. Only ever seen one copy. You can hear one side in Andy's podcast on my site, last track...... https://www.soulunder...8b087ed9-5.html

Barclays Pingit
Having just read the blurb it looks that way. Simply a vehicle to send and receive money. I can't see anything for a failed business transaction, or in our case paying for a record and then not receiving it. It'd be good if dealing face to face with the seller but I certainly wouldn't use it for an "online" transaction unless there are safeguards like there is with a credit card if over £100???

Rolling Stones Memory. Soul Related Honest
I read what you said Mike, thats why I said it It works both ways though IMO, I've heard nothing but good about them all day on the radio when in reality they aren't all good.

Rolling Stones Memory. Soul Related Honest
If the rolling stones were so good to black artists and R&B how come Jagger and Richards get the credit for The Last Time when it is clearly based on the Staple Singers track. The Stones also took all royalties off the Verve for Bitter Sweet Symphony as they sued them for using more than the license they obtained allowed them to.

Funky Soul
There's a place for everything as long as it is good and isn't out of place on the dancefloor.

All Sales Have Been Reduced So Grab Yourself A Bargain
Hi, can you please simply amend your first post with sold etc rather than keep bumping the topic with a simple post of such and such sold, it is upsetting other sellers who follow the guidelines. Thanks for your cooperation.

The United Four - Baby Don't Do It
Yes remember it well Kev. It was played by Searling and Gary Rushbrooke first. Leo wright and the elbejays. Think it's the Barons of Soul. Des Parker will confirm.

Funky Soul
We haven't Nev but musically certain parts of mainland Europe and the UK are miles apart. But that depends where you go. I've seen many playlists from various European events with nothing that isn't going on here and just as oldies orientated. Others though, especially the Baltic countries are far more open minded. They don't have the baggage we have and are in general younger so maybe prefer more modern sounding records of 70's and 80's soul and funky soul over 60's, could say the same for the younger audience here. What's happened to Christian Br¸dsj¸e? Not heard from him for a while but he had great taste, a great collection and he DJ'ed for Lifeline at the weekenders.

Weekenders....is There A Demand For A Rare Soul Weekender?
Without the likes of Butch and Andy Dyson then it ain't no rare soul weekender. They are the top two rare soul DJ's in this country, no one else comes close in this country. It also wants someone involved who understands the rare soul scene, not someone putting on a side show at a weekender aimed largely at mainstream soulies. It ain't a rare soul weekender if it is stuck in a side room.
