  1. Two that need erasing from history, Dean Barlow - Third Window, from which he and every copy wants throwing and Barbara Dane and the clippity cloppity I’m On My Way Oh and another forgettable, the worst record ever Joey Delorenzo
  2. It’s because we want it done right. I found the Torch, Wheel and 100 Club enjoyable, Richards contribution too. Russ was all about him again. It’s not just about the music though, the history and getting it right is also very important IMO.
  3. It was an oldie by the late 80s. Sam late 70s played it
  4. Full of inaccuracies, Signatures have played with all the major soul acts. Said it not once but twice 🙄
  5. Finally found Richards contribution which was on the nose and much more pertinent with regards to the Casino. Had suffer some rubbish from Charles and some of his guests to find it mind. Hopefully, once this is all over Marconie and Charles will not be allowed anywhere near the subject again.
  6. The beeb finally get it right letting those who were there and involved tell the story of some of the iconic all-nighters. We also learn that there was a scene before and after the Casino 🙄😂 The only one that let it down was the one that featured the venue that we are celebrating, Russ and the Casino. Not just his choice of music but his constant rewriting of history and bollox. I get the grudge between Richard and Russ but to airbrush the venues greatest Dj out altogether was simply criminal. Some of the scene most iconic records were first played there and we get Ghost in My House ffs. More cobblers about the records he “discovered” plus the DILY saga. Would have been nice to hear some modern soul and show the scene wasn’t all about 60s stompers.
  7. Louis (R.I.P.), one of the Cybermen was the manager of the Tiffs which Richard booked believing the Casino was closing. Russ and one other promoter tried to book it but Louis hid from them so that only Richard and Bernie got the place. Of course when Russ heard bout thw October wvent Richard was promoting to keep Northern in Wigan Russ had “one” more night 🙄 He also discovered the three before eight as well 🙄
  8. Winding Wheel
  9. You take my money, waste my time and come with poor excuses after two months of silence and you want me to be quiet 😂 I’ve nothing more to say anyway having had a refund via PayPal and secured a copy via Dave Brown who doesn’t have the same issues you seem to be having.
  10. Jimmy Wensiora’s wall of sound, fabulous.
  11. Personally what you have come here with is p*ss poor. No excuses you should not have sold the copies we ordered. Your shipping problems were not our problem. I do not believe for one minute you had no stock when we placed our order which for the most were as soon as advertised, I even corresponded with you over the shipping to which you replied would not be an issue. If you did not have copies you should not have taken orders. You certainly should not have left it almost two months, with unanswered messages and emails and the grief you received on here to spur you into action. I believed you couldn’t be so bad twice but that belief was misplaced.
  12. Dave Brown sold another 5 today. He will probably post another 5 on ebay next day or two….. https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/funkadelphiarecords?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qHkQRFkhSKa&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=j-5wJ82bT-K&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  13. I have quite a few copies from 1976 etc, will take a look if no one else does. Mine in storage at minute whilst I move.
  14. Easy to spot the reissues/boots…there is no & between Wr Prod. fair few more than 4…..into double figures I’d have thought
  15. You only have to look at Colin’s list and see what the Mecca churned out. Then you have Cleethorpes etc, the proper stuff Wigan played. As you say 79/80 some of the best Northern ever and not just from Richard. Every era, every venue of note has its good and bad.
  16. I think most of us disagree with the exploitation, especially with the tat that is offered for sale. I was referring to the way the venues are run with regards to professionalism. For the low down on Stafford years… https://www.soulunderground.co.uk
  17. Likewise, full refund. I have had an email from him today, awaiting stock. I’ll take my chances elsewhere.
  18. Totally agree and at least they are professional in what they do regardless of our own personal opinion of what they do. Beats some of the mickey mouse promoters out there.
  19. I personally think he’s fcked up wi the postage. I thought $7 was cheap but he said not. My guess is if he had any stock he’s shipped them locally and is waiting for the refund request. Postage with Dave is £20.
  20. Probably better off doing that and trying eBay or Dave At Funkadelphia directly
  21. I agree there is little you can do except stop him plugging his wares through here. I have emailed him via his website and still no response. I was the same, ordered that day. I did message him and question the postage which he said was good.
  22. Seriously think @Brewerytownbeats should have his selling activities restricted on here until he gets his house in order.
  23. They also discovered between them some of the greatest Northern too. The years 74, 75 & 76 featured some of the best the scene had to offer. Colin has a blog with a pretty large list of what he played.
