  1. I agree Chris, the number of collectors and dealers using ebay is dwindling. It isn't a true reflection of what is happening, that is out there on the shop floor as they say, dealers sales done privately, lists, deals done in venues etc etc, IU bet these far out weigh any deal done on ebay. Anyone can go to popsike a drag a price or two. Why didn't Ricky put the one up from March to show how distorted popsike and ebay is? $183 on the 11th March 2012!
  2. Tempests - Someday.
  3. Like I said Pete I've never seen or heard of one being seen.
  4. allegedly on a 45 although never seen one apart from the boot.
  5. Van McCoy & Friends "Dancing" Lp - Help Is On The Way, Ain't Got No Love, in fact most of the LP. Luther as well as "Don't Wanna Be Your Fool" which is on a 45 theres also "Follow My Love" plus other goodies. Righteour Brothers - Souled Out. You have the superb "It's Up to you" for starters but there are 3 or 4 other great tracks on there.
  6. Great show Bob and great selection of music. Congratulations on 10 years and keep em coming.
  7. I'm also beginning to look more towards LP's rather than 45's, basically cause I'm too idle to keep getting up and changing the record.
  8. I stopped using .co.uk because of all the boots and crap you had to go through, .com now getting as bad.

    Which take is it?

Whatever your taste keep an eye out for the next few podcasts on my site. Next one is Ady Pountain and then three for Adam, all what they were playing early 80's right across the board.
  11. Sonny Daye " Long long road to happiness" on Power is far better Frank Wilson.
  12. I've never heard of 250 being pressed, just the 6 dies which were then ordered to be destroyed after Wilson signed his songwriting deal with Motown.
  13. The one copy Soussan had was lifted from Tom Dieperro's office who I believe had it on loan from Motown. The copy of Ron Murphy's which is the copy Kenny got came after Ron advertised in the local press for records from people who worked at the pressing plant. Don't know of any other copy except for the unfounded rumours. As Steve says the hip hop boys claim was a wind up.
  14. There was talk of Reg Bartlett having a copy but never seen any evidence.
  15. £4.50 worldwide or £3.16 to Europe really isn't hat bad is it. It would cost that to go a few miles on public transport.
  16. 6 extra verses. Don't you mean 1? 6 verses compared to 5.
  17. Think it is with the instrumental on the flip.
  18. It was unreleased at the time although it has since seen the light of day via cd and 45. It has an extra verse in it.
  19. I think it is in the records that 6 copies of frank Wilson were pressed. Which were ordered to be destroyed so if if there are more out there, where isn't many. Ann Robinson is actually Shirley Turner and it is acetate only. Jnr McCants there is at least two, possibly three?

I would have thought a step into the darkside is a step into the unknown?
  21. I don't think the slot is meant to be a letter box is it, just a way to measure the packet size. I'm not defending the post office but why do some think something like 3 quid is too much to deliver a package quite a distance from you? You couldn't do it yourself any cheaper and I doubt a courier can do it any cheaper either. The Royal Mail have beed stopped from competing in the market place and at today's market prices by the government and the watchdog, they have been forced to keep prices down haven't they? They are only bringing their prices into line with others aren't they?
  22. £2.28 pr £3.65, it's not bad for getting a parcel delivered often 100's of miles away. What is a similar cost via courier, DHL, UPS or similar.
  23. "Prove It To Me" is a great record Mike and a cheapie which makes it even better.
  24. He says on the listen unless noted they are original and I can't see anything to say a re-press/boot/whatever.
