  1. any chance of a scan Ted (and a sound-file when refosoul back up and running). Found two little scans on the web but barely readable.

If you haven't already flip the Richard Marks over, that is the side that is collectable over here, nice find
  3. Link for Chris's earlier topic he posted as download...
  4. The Kat45 doesn't even credit Motown which if under licence you would think it would do so, it's a boot as far as I know, albeit a good one. It says "Pirate Soul" in the YT write up. Info from "Don't Forget The Motor City"...... Stormy (Buddy Buie-James Cobb) publ. Low-Sal The Supremes; recorded Hitsville-GW / L.A., completed before 28-Feb-69 ; produced by Henry Cosby [rel date unknown] [acetate]; 45 (M): [no catalogue number]Jul-87; CD (S): Motown MCDO 9075 MD The Never-Before-Released Masters29-Aug-00; CD (S): Motown 159 415 2 The Supremes28-Jun-01; CD (S): Spectrum 556 827 2 Northern Soul Connoisseurs [uK]

Shellac is a resin secreted by the female lac bug apparently not the actual bug. Was used in paints etc in not to distant past, primers, varnish etc and in nail varnish. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shellac

Wanted!!! Ron Alston - Something Ain't Right - Phillips Not an expensive one by any means so if you have one PM me with your price. Cheers Chalky
  7. also on Star Track, also owned by Sonny Marshall.
  8. It's the one I mentioned and posted a link to previous topic, I posted it in refosoul so when it gets up and running again you'll be able to hear it.
  9. Is the Roy & Dewdrops (The One Who's Hurting Is You) the same as Sunny & The Sunliners on Keyloc?
  10. Anyone got a decent scan of the Royal Imperials? Only ones I can find the credits & details are unreadable/blurred.
  11. Chalky replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
He is as long as you put Chicago singer or summat in the search otherwise all you get is links about a film with a monkey in it
  12. I remember Andy Dyson giving it some spins not so long ago, both though it would go down well but it was clearing the floor even at oldies night, Brighouse one, we were gobsmacked.
  13. Probably the one I've seen that I referred to.
  14. The Lee Jennings on eBay or auction few months ago?
  15. Reckon I'd want more than that for mine right now, maybe £60-£70? Wouldn't surprise me if it goes higher in the future with demand.
  16. The original has Dotty's in a curve across the top. The boot has "Dotty's From Detroit" and another which is a copy of the original with the curved Dotty's. I'm sure I've seen the multicoloured one but it was a long time ago and can find no scan of it.
  17. Original.... It has the fantastic "Something About My Baby" on the flip. "Something About My Baby" also shares the same backing as Sandy Golden's "When We're All Alone Tonight" on Masterpeice. Sandy lead singer of the Sweets? The boot...this as said simply has the instrumental onn the flip and is a plain yellow label.
