  1. The group members were Jimmy Jordan, Sam Tate and Eddie Moore. That came from BobA after he interviewed them as I crossed the names in Soul Harmony Singles out. https://www.sittinginthepark.com/interviews.html
  2. Dennis and the Intentions.....
  3. Maybe if you hadn't included all the links to JM and if he hadn't one up for auction then maybe it would have been ok, it's pretty obvious what you are doing.
  4. Pete can you put the scans in one post please, unnecessary bumping and can you edit your original post with "held" Sold" etc, not reply with what record is on hold etc.
  5. Do you have a question about this particular record? If not what is the topic for or are you simply advertising the fact John has one on his auction? If so can I ask you use the website and ebay section please.
  6. Totally agree with you. You are fair from the first time you list, how it should be. Some out to get as much as they can without taking in to account the condition. British I'm afraid I haven't the foggiest with regard to prices, they have never really interested me as a collector. As I said there have definitely been better days for buyers.
  7. Everyone maybe an exaggeration but you only have to browse lists these days and ebay , look at some of the starting bids and they are over priced straight away. You have said yourself you sell cheaper because you can't afford to keep a record for too long, you reduce the prices within a week to get rid, plenty don't do that. VG to me is f*cked and not worth having, not much pleasure in listening to a record in vg condition and I guess I would only buy in that condition to fill a gap in a collection whilst waiting for a better copy.
  8. I can remember days when it was better for the buyer. The 80's for instance many records you see today for daft silly prices were at reasonable and even cheap prices. I'm sure those buying in the 70's will tell you a similar story. Even 10 or 15 years ago when the internet started taking off for record buying on ebay, in the days of dial up broadband when broadband was considered a luxury you could get all sorts for next to nothing. Now everyone is clued up. Every one wants mint prices for vg graded records, buying has definitely been better.

He is a mint minus member and can't edit his topics until he is a mint member. But Deanosounds, can you do just the one update per day (until you become a mint member) otherwise I will close the topic if you keep bumping like today.
  10. Think my brain has given up, the memory is getting worse so all these guides are a great point of reference. I buy as many books and guides that are available. Like you said you can never have enough information. Looking forward to Edition 6
  11. Here's a sound-file of the US Everyday People for you pal. It's been the Holidays cover up of Dave Thorley and myself for the past few years, Mick H also has a copy but haven't heard him play it too often. It's been steadily getting a more and more popular record with the dancers, has everything IMO. The credits alone give you a clue to the quality of the record, Stevie Wonder, Mickey Stevenson....say no more. US Everyday.mp3
  12. Cheers Mark, will try and have a listen later on.
  13. I agree pal, not the best of adverts.
  14. Thanks Keith for editing. If going to name and shame give full name not just first name as it tars all with same brush, this is aimed at everyone btw. Would ask that follow all procedures available though before naming and shaming and make sure you have all the facts, that includes reporting the member to the site as well before naming and shaming in a topic to see if we can do anything first.
  15. Reckon there's more sales missing on CF than popsike and when I've used it results often poor in relation to popsike. I don't know why ebay don't have some sort of accessible archive of its' sales for reference, regardless of whether it was less than or more than $30 or even unsold, then you would get a better reflection of value, not just examples of the ones that fit the criteria laid down by popsike, the ones they manage to catch at that as well.
  16. Do you have a link for the wine bar recording Mark? Gilly do me a copy of that tape, will see if can clean it up? Put it on cd for you as well.
  17. Prices are like "state of the art technology" they are soon out of date. Different factors and market forces involved, supply, demand and what a buyer willing to pay, peoples rapidly diminishing income levels. Ebay/popsike prices are IMO one of the last you should consider when settling on a price as they aren't a true reflection of the price, all too often it's the result of two over zealous bidders. Many collectors and dealers avoid ebay these days. People who buy and sell person to person are the best guides to a price, there's plenty on here. But its like said use as many guides as possible when determining the price of a record. Popsike tell you HERE how they operate. If you'd asked me how much for Yvonne Vernee I'd have said £1800/£2000? Volcanos is tough but don't think anyone would have predicted that price.
  18. you not looking hard enough It's just 3 or 4 topics below this one!!!
  19. Conceivably yes but guess we will never know unless Richie can confirm he put everything into it. Either way it was a commercial release, even more so if there was re-issues which I doubt myself, further press to satisfy demand maybe, but re-issues 11 years apart, no way.
  20. I have trouble remembering breakfast some days Let alone 20/30 years ago.
  21. The Intentions (different spelling too, has a "T" not an "S") on Phillips is a different group, should be a photo of them in the gallery somewhere. Refosoul down for the time being.
  22. Quite a few on your list Tim still getting spins. The Bobby Williams certainly has in recent years, even made a CD comp of Goldmine. Delrays Inc getting hammered a bit over last couple of years or so.
  23. You'll be saying Gordy/Tamla Motown a private press next. RAM was distributed for sales so how can it be a private press? It was a commercial press, the label might be owned by Richie, the money could have come from elsewhere. Where ever it came from it was aimed at the commercial markets. Mine is 1990 and I've never seen a 1979 press either.
  24. Hope Eddie gets back his records. Makes you wonder if it's worth the risk DJing at times
