  2. he ran out of something, must have had writers block or whatever they call it after the first couple Was the Vg.1 etc the Art Posey 45? Saw that, talk about complicating matters
  3. Just come across one that uses 1 to 10 and here's his description.... I like number 8! Between 7 and 9 10: Mint… Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint. 9: Mint -… Very clean, only a few light marks. A great record. 8: Condition between 7 and 9. but closer to 9 7: VG+… Used, but not abused. Light scratches only. Should play, and look very nice with minimal surface noise. 6: VG… Looks a bit used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise. 5: VG-… A bit rough but will play ok. Fills the collection. 4: G… Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!! 3-2-1: It only goes down from here.
  4. unissued as far as I'm aware on 45.

AGWAY I remember Rob Marriott playing late 80's early 90's.

Bloody great record IMHO. Can't recall any one DJ giving this prolonged play, could be my memory though. Reckon the current price is on a par with rarity, £20ish. Better than many expensive records though.
  14. Big George pitched one down to minus 8 when at Lifeline, it was still 100 mile an hour....I was knackered listening to it never mind dancing to it
  15. That was probably Andy putting the pitch right up when Mick's back turned Seriously though I would never think about pitching this one up, quite fast as it is.

Mainstream very rarely, connoisseur/chill out type venue/room maybe. I've not heard it out for a while.
  17. If it feels right pitch it which ever way you want. Some are too fast today and pitched down a bit makes them just about right. Some are the opposite, too slow so pitched up make them that bit better of a dancer. I rarely do either, just the odd occasion with the odd record or two.

I would say about maybe £150 but have seen for less on ebay and lists.
  19. Ps. Just read Petes post, I'd not got that far before I replied.
  20. They probably have a carver cutter, vestax do or did one for about £6k. Discs were about 7p each.

Unless you put what you are talking about in the topic title or in the actual post those on mobile devices (iPhone etc) can't see what you are talking about. What record do you want a value for?

Terry you missed one from your list....... It's when someone tells someone not to play beat balls and mid tempo records ;-) Anyone who has the audacity to hold an opinion that differs to someone else is someone on this scene who is political. You can say what you want, run an event how you want to run it and advertise as such but someone will still disagree or take offence. Politics as it I'd called has always been around and always will be. It's envy, jealousy, people who make a penny out of the scene (how dare they), it's something that doesn't fit in with anothers viewpoint.
  23. Think the original doesn't have "dish-a-tune" on the label either. Looking at the scans the slow side is the A side.
  24. Not sure about the flip Seb but the MMHOTY side is from memory a tad faster but also has added horns or strings. Need to listen toboth sideby side again as it wad two or three years ago. Your theory is probably right as well.
  25. The story of the second press, the one with (fast) after/under the title is somewhere on Soul Source, will see if can find them bit later. They are genuine, done a few years after the first by I think the writer/producer or whatever Charles Hunter from original tapes/masters. The story might even be on Shiptown Records website?
