I was gonna suggest £400 but it's not a record you see to often these days.

Both what I would rate them at more or less, maybe a bit more for Tina Roberts. Think Nat Hall is in the guide at £750 and last couple on ebay around that figure.

Help With Soul Sam Spin?
I like the record but getting fed up with hearing it to be honest. There's a few DJ's spinning it.

The Other Version Sam Fletcher Mp3
I know which one you mean, Rob Thomas owned it I think, he was the last I saw with it. Not a very good version, well no where near as good as Sam Fletcher.

watched it too Ed, sounded good didn't it, and the Delfonics. I know it's not soul (well not all of it) but the Wanderers soundtrack not too bad.

Jazzie B Awarded The Obe In Ny Honours List
whether he's a c*ck or not, whether he deserves a gong or not, if you base your opionions on that appearance alone then you are ignorant to the full facts, nothing difficult to understand there IMHO.

Garland Green
I think Sutty could be right, the top one being the cd. I've the bottom one and don't recall seeing an lp any different????

The Begining Of The Rare Soul Scene
I agree Matt, not just the bad that was discarded. A point I made in another topic about quality not always shining through. There's many records from the 80's waiting to be discovered by many and re-discovered by others.

Jazzie B Awarded The Obe In Ny Honours List
Sorry, but not how I read it Dave. To say someone is "unbelievably pig ignorant sometimes" is not an insult. To say someone is "an unbelievable pig ignorant tw*t" that is an insult.

Jazzie B Awarded The Obe In Ny Honours List
since when is saying someone is pig ignorant an insult especially when they say something when ignoring the facts about someone or something, as in this case?

Is it just on the front of the sleeve or do the lp's contain different tracks to each other? Tried looking at the scans but they are no bigger when clicked on, well the first one, and my eye sight although not bad not, they are not that good

'everlasting Dubplates'/ White Label Bloke On Ebay
I have but I had problems with them before Christmas and had to report them in the end to paypal as they wouldn't return any e-mails or phone calls. Got my money back through paypal. Do you still want details? If so will dig it out.

Jazzie B Awarded The Obe In Ny Honours List
members of the public have to be nominated by the public generally. The amateur football league I am secretary of, our President is in his 90's and has devoted his life to football and in particular junior football, he is still heavily involved with Derbyshire FA at all levels. His services have been recognised by most sports associations. We applied to have him awarded the MBE or summat like but the paperwork and in general the work involved just getting his nomination forward was off putting from the start. Thats one reason I say they should be scrapped. There's people far more worthy and gone through more in life than many of the recipients who deserve far more and far better than these so called celebrities. Most have done f*ck all for anyone other than themselves.

The Begining Of The Rare Soul Scene
Everything was given it's chance, to me how it should be, blinkers removed and if a record was good enough it got played if not it was discarded, often after just a few plays. But uptempo soul was played and found in abundance not just the grittier stuff either. It wasn't really until early mid 90's and the return of those who missed the 80's that everything went into reverse gear (IMHO). Regardless of your disagreement with Jock and what was said between you, on this subject I happen to agree with what he says.

3 Wants
Joe Hinton is still on Craig Moerer's site, it's gone up $10 (probably due to discussions on here ) but still worth the $80 he's asking.

The Begining Of The Rare Soul Scene
But the tunes weren't drying! they were still being found in abundance throughout the 80s. Jock has already said that what you are getting at is a common and often misguided conception by those like you who weren't there so why persist along the lines that this wasn't the case? Yes beat ballads and mid tempo were given a platform they were previously denied and rightly so but the uptempo numbers outweighed the mid tempo and beat ballads.
