I remember at least one all-nighter in Norwich back in the 80's, at the University. Think Ozzie got into a bit of trouble for messing with some talk

the only time I usually see the term lost years or wilderness years of the 80's is from those who weren't there. I went to two all-nighters a weekend along with soul nights and all dayers during the 80's and like you Daz some of the best times of my life making some lifelong friendships along the way!!!! Many of the venues back then boasted healthy attendances, some not so healthy but thats no different to these days.
  8. cut all the bits out you don't or might not want to hear, Tommy Hunt interview from the previous week with Craig Charles coming up.....

I recall seeing this before but can't remember owt about it??? Is there a year on the label, counrty of manufacture etc, can't read the writing as it's too small. There was a Dore lp issued in the early 80's, maybe this came out around the same time.

  17. Really sad shocking news news Knew Lesley and Martin well back then but not seen then for some time, we all hung around together back then, went to the same venues, parties etc and as a resident at the Travellers I DJ'ed along side Lesley. My thoughts are with Martin and Lewis at this sad time

Yes it was Dave. Original should have Nashville Matrix stamp.
  19. Anyone got Garnett Mimms - Prove It To Me for sale?
  20. very hard, four figure sum I would hazard a guess at.
  21. it's only their ignorance that gives them the views they have I bet in reality they haven't a clue what NS is!
  22. Tis a good record Linda Old Guy spin. As already said you don't see an issue too often. Bill Horton ex lead of the Silhouettes.
  23. especially towards the end......great record IMHO. Like I said never gonna have the appeal of Rita but very good in it's own right.
  24. Rita and the Tiaras and fantastic Northern (even if it is hammered to death I still never tire of hearing it) but I also think Betty Willis is great too. Very different in it's own right to Rita even though the same record. I've played this out on and off for last couple of years. You should listen to all the record before making a judgement too. Betty Willis is an old Stafford spin for Guy.
