  1. yeah it did but was it E George Clements or just George Clements
  2. Golden Triangle came after Sounds of Soul (second release/re-issue). SOS came out twice one has girlie backing and different mix and distributed buy Cameo Parkway. £250/£300 for it on SOS but £400ish for the girlie backed release. Seen the Golden Triangle for anything from £125 to £250. Should be cheaper than SOS anyway.

  6. more like £30/£40 on most lists and I've played it out a fair bit recent months, along with the Phillie mentioned earlier, two great tracks
  7. heard the first two few times lately In fact heard quite a few of the mentions lately I want a Soulnotes if anyone has one, got to have Don't Make Me Beg on the flip tho'!
  8. was played ten years before this as well yep it is on Mala.
  9. the two Teddies
  10. as far as they both know it's the only "known" copy but like already mentioned you don't know what's out there. If the real artist was revealed every one and his dog would be looking for it, Mick should at least get some exclusivity out of it before, or even if at all, everyone gets to know what it is and maybe have the chance to turn other copies up.
  11. Thats three of us then, not the worst but certainly not great. Can't see the appeal of this when there's so many good underplayed 45's out there.
  12. have they been out in 20 years Dan
  13. Soulsville Friday mate then a lazy night in on Saturday, due a rest
  14. Sorry mate won't be there. If I was I'd have to drink my pint first as wouldn't want to spill any Another time
  15. seen at £25 recently and thats over priced IMO
  16. Don't think it's crossover by anyones definition except yours.
  17. Great choice Jo, got quite a bit of turntable action in the 80's. Don't think heard out in anger for some time.
  18. sixties beat mod thing? you mean this was played in mod club first? think not, first played in soul club? It still isn't crossover.
  19. Tony Galla just uptempo northern.....never in a million years crossover. The crossover we refer to has as far as I know been answered on the other topic
  20. didn't know prices were stabillizing? still see plenty of evidence on a regular basis to the contrary, plenty still willing to pay daft prices
  21. Mick's currently spinning it covered up as Anita Humes

  23. I agree, just cause some don't wish to look back doesn't mean others can't. Haven't really got a particular year but the mid 80's on were great, so many great venues and dj's with an ear and the balls to play new or underplayed records, unlike today
  24. Who promoted Keele in '85?
