  1. Played during the first hour too...or was it the second hour? Paul Sadot any roads
  2. At the end of the day they are all in open competition against each other, none want to fail! Whats a little bit different, 5 Royales twice instead of three times. Unless offering someting totally different it's hardly giving the punters a choice, neither is it putting them first IMO
  3. Just posted a soundfile in media/sounds which contains about a minute of each release to give you an idea of the difference......
  4. Don't think I've ever seen one credited to Harry "Starr" HAve you got it Billy, got a scan when your lad doing nowt
  5. I did think it was for the Lp but was just checking
  6. What for the U.S. 45?
  7. I only knew of one copy on Hull. 1st label I think as Leo Prie and his band were the session musicians for Hull. Same record but it doesn't have the big foghorn brass in it. Utter shite anyhow, Rock and Roll Leo Price is Lloyd Price's brother.
  8. looks green here, maybe the flash adding special colour effects

    he'll probably throw something up
  10. sorry the French one was an E.P. Not an easy one to find.........any 45 format. The MGM 45 is the blue and gold coloured label.
  11. Would probably be fair to say it's not had anthem or the "monster" status yet
  12. French 45 I think, LP........whats on the other side......
  13. On what format, 45 or e.p.?
  14. Nice easy listening Pete
  15. Been played on and off for years Christian, certainly spun in the 80's although didn't hear it as much as I do these days. Great double sider IMHO.
  16. Last one on e-bay went for (after conversion) £512. Seen it sold few times, through dealer for between £450 and £700.
  17. There's also the Ward Burton version on Panther
  18. Cressa Watson and Martha Starr vocally sound remarkably alike The only difference being to my ears is the break in Martha's version. Then again many have said I've cloth ears
  19. If you like the record and have faith and believe in it....PLAY IT

Think the music policy at venues has been one of the reaasons for attending venues for many soulies. Personally can usually tell by the Dj's booked what the music will be like and no doubt the same can be said of many other regular soulies If across the board and open minded, no preconceptions means hammering Ace Spectrum, Angie Stone, DrizaBone, Futures, Constellations et al then give me oldies and the blinkers any day
