		Any Opinions On This 45

Some years ago there was a set of about 6 or 7 white label pressings done each had a previously unreleased track on each side, I'm sure this is one with some stickers stuck on. I sold a near complete set on ebay some months ago all that was missing was the Suspicion one as these had all gone.

		Any Opinions On This 45

I've a scan/photo somewhere of the "original" one, dunno where will try and find it. Wouldn't haver thought it would have Gladys Knight on the flip either. The writing looks like stick on labels. Dodgy looking to me.

Can't See The Wood For The Trees

It's the thrill of the chase that holds a lot of the appeal. While ever the record is out of your reach you keep chasing but once you've found one the feeling of jubilation if thats the right word soon disappears and it becomes "just another record" sometimes. You then move on to the next on the list

If You Could Only Play One Tune

CAn I play two cause I heard Lee Andrews - Never The Less other week and it's NS as good as it gets Awesome chewn. I did a couple of cds few months ago for someone who had never been to a Northern venue as an introduction and she loved them. Will see if I can find the track listings. Review of the Mid Tempo CD swap

LAst cd but not least is the one from P5OULH (Paul Havekin). Again some class stuff to choose form but in the end decided on.... Garnett Mimms - Everytime- UA As you would expect from true soul legend with a voice to die for, truly great singer and such an under-rated one at that!! The Rays & Hal Miller - Love Another Girl - Amy Fantastic male group soul. You can just imagine Hal belting this out on the street corner with the Rays adding the impressive backing. Roy Hamilton - Reach Out For Me - RCA One of the greatest voices EVER!

		White Artist Soul

I knew I wasn't imagining things and that I had been told who this was years ago. Well I was by Andy Rix...John is John Hendley and no one knows who the weirdest were. Also told that according to Joey Jefferson he became mentally ill and was in a psychiatric hospital and Cal Green hadn't seen him since 1968. He is black as well

Saw the Sweethearts at £200 (issue) on his JM site, didn't think it was this much personally. Sam & Dave £20ish?

Anyone Help On Realistic Values ?

So you have seen four copies over the last couple of years or so??? Judging by the number of copies of various records on e-bay, Bill Bush, JM Matthews, Bobby Kline, Oxford Knights, Hyperions etc, and the often ridiculous prices they are fetching, I would class Paul Thompson as pretty rare and well worth the amounts stated
 -

Anyone Help On Realistic Values ?

Paul Thompson, although not ultra rare it is rare and regulary goes for £500 plus both on e-bay and on lists. Regardless of how many copies of the Soundmasters there was and the prices it was fetching it doesn't come up for sale that often now and whn it does it has been selling for around the £600. Both the above prices seem to be pretty steady so it must be what they are worth now.

		Gerri Diamond-counterpoint

Guy Hennigan spin at Stafford. Can remember Saus spinning it as I was often DJing same night as him $100 dollars a bargain IMO Always loved the record since first hearing it.

		White Artist Soul

Fully agree about Weller...he's a pop singer who chooses to actually cover a few "soul" records IMO......and badly at that.

		Gerri Diamond-counterpoint

I rate it about £200/£250....could be hard to sell thought as not that well known/popular with todays scene. Maybe time for re-activation. Know that canny Scot Hammy has been spinning it though North of the Border but rarely hear it down here.
