  1. Found that most releases have at least two DEMO variations and Stock Copy. Never seen Block Print issues though. Amazed to find Double "A Side and A/B Side" MONARCH DEMOs for 5523. Making three DEMO variations so far and even more Stock Copy Variations. Always gave me hope of finding a My Little Girl DEMO 5511 but alas one probably doesn't exist. MONARCH : DELTA # 62723 = BABY, DO THE PHILLY DOG DELTA # 62740 = WESTERN MOVIES STYRENE STYRENE STYRENE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STYRENE STYRENE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VINYL This one does have the Monarch Delta # even though it is Vinyl. Slightly different Label Layout to Styrene Monarch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guessing there's a DEMO out there for the Pressing Plant below. VINYL
  2. Is that DEMO or Stock Copy Trev. I reckon if any Stock Copies are out there they would be Vinyl for the Block Print. East coast press as Robb suggests.
  3. Top two are STYRENE and bottom one Vinyl of these Stock Copies. All three have Monarch DELTA # 59032 whereas the two DEMOs don't have THE delta # I believe the two DEMOs pictured above are definitely from the same stamper or pressing plant.
  4. I bought the top DEMO from Soul Bowl very early 70s, the Script version quite recently. Both have Identical deadwax, Vinyl label sheen and feel etc.
  5. An extremely Rare copy Credited to The Tempos. It was an Auction Item on Manships a few years ago as I recall.
  6. I agree Derek It would be brilliant to travel back to the time when they were active. Here's another ALLSTATE. UNITED RECORD DIST. I had to take a photo rather than a scan in order to pick out the vibrant orange sticker.
  7. Yes thanks Peter, hope you are too. The records are as I received them and I would normally go for a pristine label. Stickers or Stamps placed around the time of release for promotion I don't mind seeing.
  8. Not sure if the Radio Station or Rep would have stamped "THIS SIDE PLEASE"
  9. Howard Bedno - Music promoter in '50s, '60s
  10. The two above have a "COAST TO COAST" stamp on them.
  11. We all must have records with sticker removal marks and tears. However, there are certain Stickers that I either don't mind being on the label or expect to find. I have seen a few Hollywood press Charger for The "In" Crowd and would expect to find the sticker still attached.
  12. Thanks for this Information Robb. As a collector this Information is invaluable.
  13. I have this press STYRENE with raised "X" in the Deadwax Allied of Hollywood
  14. They certainly do look stunning. Nice copies to own.
  15. I almost bid on this one. Original West Coast Monarch. Delta # There is also a White DEMO Monarch. BOTH Extremely rare. A loverly record to own on any Label Variation MAK and your copy perfectly OK. Here is the White DEMO that I have in my collection. and a Silver Stock copy They are from different pressing plants. Regarding the other Gold Label I have World Without Sunshine on this Variation. No problem with any copy on this thread so far. Not booted as far as I am aware.
  16. Just adding to Information from 3 Years ago. Here are the scans as I have since found a copy for my collection. It is the next number on from The Mad Lads Red & White pictured earlier in the thread. By no means an easy find are these Red & White DEMOs.
  17. Many different Variations can be found. EAST COAST : "Arp" WEST COAST : MONARCH
  18. As already mentioned, they are from different pressing plants. The top DEMO I can Identify as an EAST COAST : "ARP"
  19. ORIGINAL COPIES are STYRENE
  20. ORIGINAL COPIES are STYRENE In the case of ROY HANDY STP-334 Both DEMO & Stock Copy have Identical Deadwax. Both are on STYRENE and are Scratched - "ZTSC-107536" With " T I " 180 degrees, scratched in the Deadwax. Deadwax Width approx 14mm I don't know if this will help further, but when you hold to the light Exactly where the "6" is scratched there is a slight, but noticable dimple in the STYRENE. Also a very Tiny Dot/Dimple Under the "C-" where the ZTSC-107536 is Scratched. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------* 70s Repro * ------------* 70s Repro * The Repro is on Vinyl, Is a different shade of Green, Scratched Matrix, and the DEADWAX Width is about 8mm. The Vinyl is quite Pitted when held to the light. The Boot has "ZTSC-103536" Scratched in the Deadwax. Instead of "ZTSC-107536"
  21. Very Sad News. R.I.P. Joe
