Import Duty
Interesting point regarding Individual, rather than Multiple. The last couple of Customs charges for me happened to be records from Canada. Is this a coincidence I wonder, can the route to UK make a difference depending on Area sent from.

Little Joe Roman
The only copy I have ever seen was at Soul Bowl back in the 70s. It was A White Demo being played for the person buying it from John. Already spoken for else I would have bought it.

Mirwood 5523 - (Which Pressing Plants Did Mirwood Use)
I thought I might try to Identify the Various Pressing Plants Originally used by Mirwood. As "BABY, DO THE PHILLY DOG" has the most differences in my collection, I have chosen 5523 I'm also assuming no reason to counterfeit or boot this release over the years. We see quite a few on the DARK BLUE Label, Anyone know which pressing plant these were pressed ? STYRENE STYRENE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MONARCH : DELTA # 62723 = BABY, DO THE PHILLY DOG DELTA # 62740 = WESTERN MOVIES STYRENE STYRENE STYRENE VINYL This one does have the Monarch Delta # even though it is Vinyl. Slightly different Label Layout to Styrene Monarch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guessing there's a DEMO out there for the Pressing Plant below. Anyone know which Pressing Plant these were pressed ? VINYL

The Downbeats / The Elgins - Vip 25029
Many Thanks, Your Identification of a Midwest Copy fills a gap in the puzzle. I have no doubt that the VIP Logo was Intended to be Straight. However, The Various Pressing Plants and Printer appear to have left clues as to the region the record was pressed. Quality Control didn't specify regards to Label Layout. Just piecing together the different pressing plants, staggered VIP appears on quite a few releases and I believe. Looking at the Layout, gives a clue to pressing plant. WEST COAST (Styrene Bold Text) - Expect a Multicoloured DEMO, although some releases are Black / White EAST COAST = STRAIGHT VIP LOGO (Vinyl) Label Number to right. EAST COAST = DOUBLE SIDED STOCK COPY - (USED FOR PROMOTION I BELEIVE) MIDWEST = STAGGERED VIP LOGO (Vinyl) Label Number at Bottom. The position of the Label Credits, match on all three.

The Downbeats / The Elgins - Vip 25029
Thanks Rod Your DEMO to this Stock Copy EAST COAST PopSike.com I assume that the; Vinyl EAST COAST = Straight VIP at side Label Number, situated to the right on a DEMO / Stock Copy. MIDWEST = Staggered VIP DEMO - Label Number at the bottom DEMO / Stock Copy. Styrene WEST COAST = Normally MULTICOLOURED DEMO (Sometimes WHITE / BLACK DEMO), Bold Text. I wonder if there's a MONARCH press for DOWNBEATS out there too as a DEMO or Stock Copy.

The Downbeats / The Elgins - Vip 25029
Thanks again. (Midwest) pressing, I assume that they must have gone to press before Monarch. or at least printed the labels.

Star-treks "gonna Need Magic"
Yes, the very place. Had about 2 or three suitcases full of UK / British Labels. Beyond the Normal Stock. Selling some to buy a Mini if I remember correctly. Agree Dave, nice bloke.

Star-treks "gonna Need Magic"
It does sound like Dusty. Surely with such a large fan base somebody would know if it was.
