  3. Dave. Thanks for the kind comments. It is just depth of field using either f2.8 or f4.0 aperture. Getting the right distance from the subject helps as does the right light. Thanks again. Steve
  4. Thanks Ste. Glad you think so mate. The lens was definitely worth the months of should I or shouldn't I. I personally can see the difference with the pictures so I'm chuffed to think other people can too. Especially people like yourself.   12. A Peregrine Falcon in full hunting flight. It was bloody hard trying to focus and track it against the cliff face and at the speed it was flying. Steve

  15. What a great record. Thanks for posting this. Can't believe that I have forgotten about it. Loved it at the Casino and then years later when the late great Keith Brady ( R.I.P ) reactivated it at Morecambe,s Carleton club nighters. Steve
  16. Dave. It is as you know stunning to see it at it's best. When you phone the NT bodnant garden phone number they give advice and updates how and when to see the laburnum arch at it's best. One of the perks of working 4 on 4 off is that I get chance and time to see these stunning displays. Dave If it's that long since you visited you wouldn't recognise the place they have opened up many more acres to the public Steve
