  3. Baz. That'll be eagle owls that the rspb don't recognise as British breeding birds . They say that they're escaped captive birds or that have flown over from the Netherlands. I'm a member of the rspb but they talk crap at times . Everyone else knows the truth. Only ever seen them in captivity myself. Bet it was amazing to see Steve
  4. Never been mate. Bit nearer home for you too. Possibly Peregrine Falcons, Ring Ouzel etc. Will be extremely jealous mate if you get Ring Ouzel picture Steve
  5. Fairburn Ings RSPB reserve near Leeds is good . Plenty of birds that are used to people, great for practising on. Steve
  6. Chalky. Me and Lou spent the day over on the Wirral. Ness gardens then called into Burton mere RSPB reserve where the little grebe picture's where taken. Probably half the pictures that I have ever posted on here over the years are from Burton mere. Steve

  14. Normally a winter visitor to the coastline of the UK. It's indeed a rare one inland and in the summer to boot Steve
  15. Andy. It's a marvel of Victorian engineering. Used to fish right next to it on the Trent and Mersey canal. Great picture Steve
  16. Thanks Martyn. As you know they have just returned from wintering in Africa and the reed beds at Pennington flash are alive with them marking out there territories. Great to hear and see them Steve
