  3. I heard that too Mike. I'm sure Chris will post details. Steve
  4. Martyn. Stunning photos again my friend. Turnstones definitely look better in the Lanzarote Sun than they do in the Prestatyn haze. Will dig a picture out when I get chance.. not that they're this good. Steve
  5. Thanks for comment's Andy. I,m not decided which I prefer. but the silky smooth picture was actually hand held without any filters attached with a shutter speed of 0"6 which I'm chuffed with because as you know you generally need a tripod for that sort of low speed Steve
  6. Good evening my friend. Thanks for kind comments again. Don't believe that the Salmon are in the best of condition when they are at the spawning grounds and I personally wouldn't take them but we don't know the circumstances of the people involved Steve
  7. Forgot to add that I spent approx. two hours at the river waiting to see if any salmon where making the Autumn run in the hope of capturing them leaping up the falls. unfortunately didn't see any Steve
  8. Here's two taken today of the Afon Llugwy at Betws y Coed in Snowdonia, Same picture with different shutter speeds, What looks like smoke is the spray rising from the volume of water passing through the gorge Steve
  9. Wimpy Swifty. Steve ( the forceps ) Smith
  10. Martyn. Widnes is the only thing that's black and white. Back on topic. Back in the day I was into soul music Motown, Philly etc then I discovered Northern Soul which is loosely based on in my opinion soul music but been as it encompasses white singers and instrumentals it can't be called soul music hence it has to be dance music. Just a thought like. Steve
  11. Chris. It's a good job it's dead looking how close your fingers are to those teeth. Steve
  12. I personally would like to thank the every single person that turned up for Lynn yesterday. It was a special and fitting tribute to a very special person. Lynn didn't know or realize how popular she was and she was frightened and worried that no one would turn up for her funeral. Well you can rest in peace my friend. We did you proud. A very strange and especially moving thing happened. Myself along with about a hundred people couldn't get in the crematorium and where stood outside in the torrential rain and the thunder when at exactly 2pm when the service started the sun came out for a brief moment and a rainbow appeared and then the heavens opened up again. It certainly brought a tear or two. God bless you my friend and sleep well. Ste n Lou. X
  13. Well the day has arrived that i and so many others have been dreading. Saying goodbye to someone you have known 45 years is going to be so hard, . I'm only a friend of Lynn.s. God knows what Ed and the family are going through. But we will do her proud. We will miss you .Lynn. R.I.P. Ste and Lou. X
  14. There's nothing wrong with the record. It brings back some very happy memories. Steve
  15. Dave. When your as tall as Martyn . You can sneak up on the bird's and they don't notice. Steve
  16. Stunning Martyn, as always. Every time I have seen Sanderlings on the north Wales beaches, some stupid dog owner has had a stupid dog off the lead running round barking and scaring them . Steve
  17. Thanks Martyn. I knew that you would know, even from that rubbish picture. Hope you and the lovely Carol had a nice holiday mate. Steve
  18. Sorry to hear your current plight. I sold my collection a few years back ( which I regret ) but for no other reason that I had stopped DJ,ing and wanted then to go to good homes that would ensure that they still got played out and about. which in hindsight was a bit naïve , I had no control where they went. But I did sell them to a well known record dealer who gave me a very fair price ( ) for the complete collection. I could have sold the top one hundred tunes I had twenty times over but then I would have been left trawling round nighters to try and shift the others, even though they where all originals and worth money . I just couldn't be bothered. The choice is entirely a personal one. Good Luck Steve
  19. Ban the funk . If I saw the future at a recent venue I attended then I,m sorry its not for me either. Lifeline is dead long live Lifeline Steve
