  1. Used to sit this one out and let the stomper/shuffler type dancers have the floor. Steve
  2. Dazz. If you know who booted them please tell. So people can be aware of this. I always thought mine was real. And obviously so did Steve Thomas who knows a lot more than I do. Steve
  3. Pete. I remember Steve Thomas saying to me years ago the only record he would have out of my collection was my Epitome of Sound, Sandbag issue. It had no Braille numbers under the label. Steve
  4. Be nice to get some Canadian wildlife picture's posted, you have set yourself up now for getting out with a camera. Look forward to seeing the results. Steve
  5. Am with you on that Phil , done it with tunes that were totally out of my price range so I could listen to them on CD's in the car. Steve
  6. Malcolm. The scene you describe has in my opinion long gone. Unfortunately. When I first started out on this voyage you had to prove yourself sort of thing with being able to dance, know what records where on what labels, your clothes, but most of all show respect to everybody, so you could earn it. Steve
  7. Phil . I hope your not saying that you have played boots Steve
  8. Three from me. Walter Jackson. It's a uphill climb to the bottom. Linda Grinner . Good by cruel love. Terry Callier. Ordinary Joe. Steve

  14. One of my wellies was a boot. The other one was too. Steve
  15. Love that record. Paid £100 I think when I got mine. Don't see many proper ones. Steve
  16. Had the pleasure of seeing the Manhattan's live in the late 70,s at the Cavendish in Blackburn. Fabulous. Then hitched it to the casino. Happy Days. Steve
  17. It would have to be when Ruby and the Romantics recorded We can make it. Simply stunning . Also sitting in on any Brenda Holloway recording. One of the most gorgeous, beautiful females that ever set foot in a recording studio..and as a bonus God she can sing. Even had the pleasure to meet and speak to her. Steve
  18. Go on Nick you know you want to. Only a couple of hours up the A14/ M6. Steve
  19. I remember when I used to run winsford niters someone ( no names ) bought a Freddie chevez for £10 the person selling it thought it was a boot. Don't know how much that pale blue look issue goes for now. But me thinks it a bit more than ten quid. Steve

  22. Bearsy. You did see it and yes that's what they said, a dance off. I've started taking medication. Steve
  23. Russell. If it gets you brownie points with Bev that's cool mate. Steve
  24. Nice one Martyn. Last year when I was out for a walk in the local park just before dusk I heard a few small birds scolding ,what I didn't know. Then I seen a tawny owl appearing out of a hollow in a oak tree. Just the classic poster shot but no camera. I've been back many times with the camera just in case but I've never seen the tawny owl near that tree. Steve
