great tunes top class , at my local soul night the first djs on play some fantastic stuff , but like you say not many in ,don't want to dance yet. then later on the djs playing lower calibre of records filling the floor?

i think it depends what time you are djing ,people arrive meet friends ,have a few drinks and if its a soul night don't get going till 9 to 10 , so if youre on at 7 sometimes it don't matter what you are playing,because some people are just not ready to dance.

I went today in a small cinema in ripon north Yorkshire with my wife and I thought it was great it brought back great memories. we have been on the circuit for 35 years ,didn't see any one I new from allnighters etc. but they all had memories even if it was a few years 74 =75 or 80 = 81 not every one has spent there whole life on the scene..

thanks for the comments, I was reading how eddy started soul in the sun in Tenerife. sat on his balcony sick of listening to karaoke ,elvis etc. just seems nice way to spend a week ,sun drink and good music
