Thank you, the stretch of water you see in the photo is all there is, the farmer created a pond some years ago and for some reason has filled it in leaving what amounts to a large puddle, they must be fit little buggers saw them this afternoon following mum from the other side of the field heading for their afternoon float 🙂

Drew back the bedroom curtains this morning to see the duck that's been in the field for the last few months being followed by a line of Ducklings, wish I could have taken a video of the ducks passing one of the lambs and the way it's head went to and fro as each duckling passed it by. There is a small pool of water in the corner of the field where they were headed which is where I took the photo, second one as they exited the water, wonder what the lamb is thinking...

Last night was one of those times I wished I knew more about the getting the correct camera settings quickly, my cameras not the best but I have got better with it, looked out of the front window last night as the sun was setting around the back and the windmills had turned a shade of pink as they do under the right conditions when this red rainbow appeared briefly, never seen anything like it before in the 40yrs I've lived in this house, it's not the best picture, one thing I've learnt over the years is some things only last moments then they're gone, by the time I got the camera out and went outside the light had faded and the sunset rainbow had all but faded in the gloom.

Sky Tv - Mike Judge Presents Tales From The Tour Bus

Watched it the other night, very interesting if a little strange with the cartoons, told my mate about it today and he remembered seeing the whole shebang in Manchester in the early 80s, said is was very chaotic but memorable.

Very nice mix Mal, different from the tunes I've been listening to of late, majority new to me, cheers. Don't know what the tune was, think it may have been Heather Small on vocals but could be a theme to the current situation we find ourselves in, What have you done today to make you proud. Great tune amongst many.

Usual mix of recent buys, long time favourites, a few b sides and an absolute left fielder I heard on a podcast but could never find again which took me ages to find in the charity shops after wading through hundreds of the usual Val Doonican, Johnny Mathis, Classical etc, if you play it on youtube you'll probably think why bother but I quite like it, not a regular play by any means but it has a certain charm, and no self isolation isn't making me lose my mind, not yet anyway Dorothy Moore Girl Overboard Hazel Martin Out of My Life (now considering buying original version when he was with the Tempests) Stylistics Point of No Return Johnny Nash Strange Feeling Marion Black Who Knows Jenni Rae To Love Jimmy Helms Words and Music Renaldo Domino No Laggin No Draggin Donnie Elbert Too Far Gone James Royal When It Comes to My Baby Ernest Ernie She Won't Come Calling Judy Clay and William Bell My Baby Specializes Sons Of Robin Stone Got to Get You Back Ultra High Frequency We're On The Right Track Ecstasy Passion and Pain I Wouldn't Give You Up Nite Liters Cherish Every Precious Moment Millionaires Never For Me Earl Gaines The Best Of Luck to You Earl Gaines It's Worth Anything Smoke City Dreams and finally, all credibility going out the window...………...I'll get my coat, turn off the lights and close the door 🙂 etc etc Klaus Wunderlich Summertime,...……….. go on you know you want to...…..you do don't you...….nobody will know...

Morning spent ironing, neighbours on holiday so up with the volume, some recent purchases ,some old stuff and a couple of oddballs, Jimmy Ruffin Everybody Needs Love Diana Ross How About You Undisputed Truth You Plus Me Undisputed Truth You Got The Lovelites My Conscience Harold Burrage Got to Find a Way Ketty Lester River Of Salt Jimmy Helms Your Past Is Beginning to Show E Jackie Hines I'm So Glad Gladys Knight Friendship Train The Natura'elles Show Me The Way Timi Yuro Ain't Gonna Cry No More Spyder Turner You're Good Enough For Me Tom Jones Stop Breaking My Heart Matt Bianco Matts Mood I'll put my hard hat on for this one, last and definitely least one I've had some fun with when mates call round having them guess who they think it is, I'm led to believe and I don't know how true this is that there has been discussions on Facebook as to whether it actually is them or some Philadelphia sessions musicians, the same person told me it actually got played somewhere long the line how true that is again I have not the faintest though I doubt it though I'm sure someone on here will know, it's not something I play, only bought it out of curiosity after he told me seeing it in a charity shop for 25p, bang goes my credibility, only posting it for the novelty value The Glitter Band Makes You Blind

Last word from me on Cilla, the one I heard was Baby It's You, won't post a link before we are reminded this is a soul music forum, I had a conversation with a Dj mate on NYE regarding the playing of white British pop, Petula Clark was brought up which has been discussed elsewhere, it's not what I'd choose to hear played at an event but people do dance to it and accept it so live and let live, funny thing for me some I know accept Pet but would look aghast if Josh Hoyer were played. The wonderful world of Northern Soul, I was accused of being part of the Soul Police on the same night for expressing an opinion. (Petula is in my 60's collection along with a couple more of hers, I remember vividly being fascinated as a kid when she sang in French, maybe she stirred my later passion for French cinema).

Turns out I have the Cilla Black and it wasn't the one I heard last year, that one was listed on YouTube as Popcorn, started buying records I remember enjoying as a kid before Soul Music took a hold, having older brothers and a sister I was much influenced by them, used to watch all the variety shows with my Mum, funny how some of the artists I enjoyed kind of paved the way for my future love of soul. After hearing Gloria Lynne Tower of Strength at last nights event and playing Cilla I had to give Frankie Vaughan's version a spin. Pic is some of my 60's collection which thankfully come far far cheaper than the Northern stuff

The sight that greeted me as I opened the curtains yesterday morning, had to use my phone , living here for over thirty years I've learnt conditions change very quickly, two minutes later the sky colour had changed and the birds were gone, the sky was actually a deeper more striking red

Same here with other people's posts, always a source of tunes new to me. Nothing rare or expensive on my list, after listening almost exclusively to tunes purchased in the last year thought I'd play a few long time favourites that more or less chart my taste from being at school. I've bought everything over the years spanning all genres of our great music. Hope you foynd a tune you like.
