No, he let me have all the stock , but this 12" flew out the door. But looking at the stock sheets we only had five copies, all went in the first 2 weeks of listing then at £25 each. I speak to Manny every few weeks, we have a great un-released Rotations from him that we will be putting out next year on a limited press 45. Manny found 2 studio disc of the tune, one I've kept the other is in the hands of Mick H. Manny has no copies of any of the wax he cut left. Last year he put out a CD on Ebony Evans that sold well, it included an updated version of the Tierra track. This got a fair bit of turntable action on the modern scene. He has now pressed a limited 12" wax copy of this and has sent all of them to me. We will be sending these out to help the promotion of the cd further over the next few weeks to DJ's that replied to Malayka's promotions tread she put up a month ago.

Following the great sucess of Steve Womble's tip for the top-North By Northeast. Lets have a tip a week from you of a tune sitting round on dealers lists and Gemm at nothing, that you think peeps might like to pick up. Mine is the over looked George Perkins track on Royal Sheild, his other on the label 'Glad I Found You', always sells well where as this great 2 sider is over looked, just needs a couple of dj's behind either side and it would go. Was only pressed at about a 1000 copies, so in the greater scheme of things could, long term prove to be a harder record to find. Sound clips to follow on both sides.

I think the flip side is better

Come on all, it's not like this hasn't happen a hundred time before. People paid high prices for the first copies of 'The Flasher' way back when. There will always be a cue of trophy hunters or dj's that see a record fill the floor for someone else and want a piece of the action. Their are few of us out there that can't say we haven't been caught up in the buzz or fever around one record or another in the past. A record gets popular, supply outstrips demand so the price goes up, cuz no one will wait. In many cases there is a supply big enough to satisfy demand (like, 'Party time man'), but the speed of that supply getting to the market, didn't match the moment in time everyone wanted it. Is any of this wrong? hell no, just makes the 'scene' what it is, and why we love it (and we do love it). Drama, intrigue, hero's and villians, better than a soap opera. Back to the record in question, nice tune. If you want it now, for what ever reason, you'll have to pay the price (make a great song title ). If you already have it cuz you buy tunes you like, good on ya.

It is a re-make of their doo-wop tune. I love it, maybe a bit slow for the dance floor. But that lead singer belts it out when he gets going
