i would have taken any advice and help to get the best possible price for most probably a "few years" worth of collecting with most probably some emotional contact as the person who i think i know is a member on here surely help from the likes of you pete would be very valuable

as already said a collection of mainly reissues, with a few "may be" usa originals ie del larks, little johnny romans, millionaires etc which are stated with just there label listings, but thinking about it if these were originals i would show pictures of them. some nice uk stuff in there, but if i was gonna spend 5k+ i would make the journey down the A14 just to check, but i suppose a nice starter/cherry pick collection

yes dont see many mintish copies, like said seen a few battered copies, had one myself but must admit tuff by label name, tuff vinyl thoughl!! played great.

was working in a house, noticed a jacket with some northern and mod patches so when the house owner come home got talking to her and mentioned the jacket it was her husbans who was into his scooters, but she said that she used to go to soul does years ago and had a box of records in the loft. so after a bit of persuading she goes off up into the loft and brings a dusty old 50 box, on opening it was packed with old looking cardboard sleeves. well as you could imagine i was thinking whats in there well............................ yes you guessed a box of bootlegs...bollocks lol

totally understand what your saying steve, you know that im a 60s man though and though, going though stages of collecting the classics from my childhood, getting into the latin stuff, then the rnb stuff, lesser played, funked edged, uptempo, mid tempo the list goes on!!

have been doing the same dave, been selling a few that i dont or havnt played for a while and just sitting there, eventhough i am a collector im not a hoarder of 45s have a nucalus of around 600 original lol 45s but still get bored!! even though im allways updating the collection if you get my drift
