I've got a query about pricing .having bought northern tunes for over 40yrs and generally know how much I want to pay for a tune ,having dipped into the crossover and new soul tunes it seem such a lottery as to how much the said tunes go for .you get somebody selling a tune that nobody has heard off and a price to match generally in the hundreds .has anybody had a bad deal with any tunes especially just the soul tunes not generally northern thanks

Lots of small issues get on our nerves like women trying to dance in high heels or the like ,and the obligatory last dance erection section tune at the end of night .I once saw a couple dancing to northern in the style of line dancing to which a lot of people joined in .I think that if them places do that change your venue let's hope it doesn't spread

As a lot of people I got into it very early on.i buy tunes now because it reminds me of a certain place I went so memories are a big point for me .I've been as far as Australia in 88 so a few tunes we play automatically reminded me of there.but cost and rarety are a factor now but not back then .but if you like a certain tune and when it comes up for sale as my gran used to say ,CUT YOUR CLOTH ACCORDING TO YOUR PURSE

Can't get enough of survivor

I like the underplayed and not in the mainstream and like you said generally poorly attended. It's getting really hard to find these places but they are still about .it's good to hear not the run of the mill tunes there used to be a good weekender at the trough but can't remember where it was (old age kicking in again)heard tunes I had not heard before.
