D,jing..mis-haps
Not exactly a mishap, but massive confusion caused by the clocks going back, or maybe forward - nobody seemed to know - during a Stafford all-nighter, and 3 DJs turning up on stage simultaneously, each believing it was time for their spot.

Artist Name Needed
Thanks Kev - you're dead right, My Oh My is on the same tape, cracked it. Cheers Nick

Tamla Motown Music For Pleasure Albums
The Sharon Davis book "Motown: The history" (late 80s/early 90s, I'd guess) lists them all, with release dates, as well as the Regal Starline and other odd releases. It's well worth getting if you see it. Nick

Artist Name Needed
Sorry Phil, I got the title wrong, it's "Time made you change your mind" (at least that's what it says on the tape box, and what they sing). It's a male lead vocal with female backing vocals, sounds as if it might be Detroit.

Artist Name Needed
Listening to an old and incompletely-labelled tape, I found a track called "Time will make you change", with no artist's name. Anyone know who this is? Cheers Nick

Just How Hard Is It To Get A Soul Bros Inc
I also got one in a soul pack in '76 (£4 for 100 45s), but not from the Bowl, it was from somewhere in Lincolnshire, I think Nick

Bobo Mr Soul
Anyone any idea of the identity of Bobo Mr. Soul? I've had it suggested to me that he's really Phillip Mitchell, I'm not convinced. Nick

- Northern Soul Songs About Getting Old
"Time marches on", by Lainie Hill? The Imperial Wonders "Just a dream" has a line in it that fits the bill: "Me in bifocals, you'll have silvery hair" Cheers Nick- Best Record On Contempo
Fontella Bass had some fine releases on Contempo, including "Now that I've found a good thing", and the wonderful "I'm leaving the choice to you" Nick- Black Magic Unreleased
I'm sure "Turn me on" got a UK release as "Ocho Rios", by Sugar, on Power Exchange. Anyone any idea why they covered it up? Nick- Chuck Corby - Still On?
Thanks Max- Chuck Corby - Still On?
Is Chuck Corby still on in Wolverhampton on Saturday? Cheers Nick- Record Insurance
Stamp Insurance Services (01392 4339490) do other collectables; I have my records insured for £30000 for £162.50 a year. Nick- Start Of The Big Money Rarities
When I started collecting in 1968, jaws were dropping at the news that someone had paid £11 for Tony Clarke's "The entertainer". A year or so later, "You're ready now" was the first record I knew of to break the £20 mark (that was a week's wages back then). Nick- Leon Haywood
It's legit, came out around 1977 (a few years after its peak). There's also a boot of the Fat Fish.- Big & The Evolution
It's the same label as Duke & Leonard, the only other title I've ever seen on the label. I had one years ago from Garlic George as part of a typically elaborate trade, didn't think much of it at the time, but I'm sure I'd love it now. Sadly I sold it at a record fair in Birmingham, about 10 years ago. Nick- Northern Soul Tops The Charts
