I was going to say Nathan Jones myself but wasn't it Jean Terrell singing lead on this. I think she got the job because she had a similar voice to Diana Ross.

It's about time I beat you on something anyway, you've beat me loads of times, 3 times in 1 week a few months ago

If he was going to find this thread I think he'd have found it by now, been crapping it all week in case he did though

I know I saw you had bid on it & thought I'd probably lost it but fortunatly for me I'd had all week to check it out. Still surprised at the £1500 price tag JM puts on it though.

I hope he doesn't find out it's true value, I bet he was dead chuffed to get £238 for what he probably thought was a boot, I hope it stays that way.

The record arrived today, it's delta number 68418 which dates it late 67 so there's no doubt it's a proper one. Best xmas pressie I've had
  13. Is this the same song as Oscar McLollie?

Brilliant, just had a reminder off Ebay that my card is about to expire, now if they had sent it a month ago it might have been of some use.

  16. James Spencer - In-law Trouble - Taurus I'M TIRED OF MY IN-LAWS TRYING TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO IF I'D WANTED YOUR MOMMA TO BE MY WIFE I WOULDN'T HAVE MARRIED YOU Great
  17. Just went out to get a loaf & found the postman had left The Metros LP on the doorstep in the rain. Luckily I dont think it can have been there very long as it was only wet on the outside. I bought it mainly for Unlucky Son but the whole LP's great with the possible exception of Blue Velvet.

  19. I'm bidding on one of his records at the moment. I wondered why he used his name in all his listings like we should know who he is or something, never heard of him myself. He's almost apologetic about selling soul records like it's a crime or something. What sort of stuff does he usually sell?

Great record book price about 50/60 but I've been looking for ages & not seen one
  21. Ay up Nick Once heard that Kenny Carlton & Kenny Carter are the same person, not sure if there's any truth in it though.
  22. He covered Psychadelic Soul, didn't do too bad a job of it either from what I can remember
  23. This one's got no writer credits.
  24. "Marc's record collection was eclectic to say the least. Although well acquainted with the swirling vortex of faceless artists who found unlikely success on the dancefloors of Wigan Casino, Blackpool Mecca & the Torch in Stoke On Trent, Northern soul failed to permeate his collection" From The Fall by Mark E Smith & Mick Middles
