However, and as it's been discussed on here many times, there are lots of great originals for a tenner or less - perhaps a bit more thought and research should be used to put a playlist together. We all had to start somewhere and I remember when Soul Sounds and OOTP appeared - we wouldn't touch them with a 'bargepole' Perhaps people today have no scruples

Absolutely correct. I visited a venue recently which had a young man behind the decks playing boot after boot - when I pointed this out or mentioned I had them on 'different' labels I got a blank look!!!! - why do the promoters book them
